MANY Thanks to our generous Parishioners! Thanks to all who generously donated to the Growing Project collection. We received $2230 in donations, and will have even more to add to that when the hay is sold. Our efforts provide the necessary funding to teach men and women in Bolivia how to farm in a sustainable manner, and this is having a real impact for good in the lives of the people there. USO Christmas in July Pictured here are some of the MSH volunteers who delivered the donation, with 4 USO staffers. This year our USO Christmas in July collection brought out the best in Most Sacred Heart Parish! There was a ton of food and drink donated by parishioners, and another ton of food that came from all the generous cash donations. These donations were used to buy 120 lb.s of ham, 120 lb.s of turkey and 70 lb.s of cheese from the B&H Market in Pacific, who gave us a great discounted price. We also received donations from Eureka Schnucks and Eureka Walmart. Our Families Volunteering Together ministry also supported the effort by making 300 goodie bags for the troops containing chips, cookies, candy, and a handmade card from the children of our parish. Organizers Chan & Margaret Baker estimate that we sent over $9,000 worth of food and drink, and monetary donations totaling $2075 to our USO at Lambert to serve all the men and women in our Armed Forces from all over the United States who pass through Lambert airport. Thank you for your generosity!
