We are excited for you to join us for the first ever, council-wide online cookie rally event! Please check your email carefully for a confirmation of your registration, information to join the Zoom meeting, and more instructions! If you do not see an email from gsmw.org within three days of your scheduled event, please look in your junk folder or email us at: customercare@gsmw.org FUN BEFORE THE EVENT: Create your Flower Crown Headband Channel flower power and match our cookie mascot, Hope the Horse, by making your own headband to wear to the cookie rally! Supplies from your kit: Jumbo pipe cleaner; purple, orange, yellow, and green craft foam; Flower Crown Headband Template Supplies from home: scissors, pen or pencil, 1-hole punch, glue or double-sided tape Follow the instructions on the Flower Crown Headband Template in your kit to create your headband. Be ready to show it off at the cookie rally! Decorate your Epic Paper Doll Get ready to celebrate the strength of the Girl Scout sisterhood by showing off YOUR personal strengths and skills with a personalized paper doll. At the rally, we’ll share our dolls, and make an EPIC virtual paper doll chain! Supplies from your kit: paper doll form Supplies from home: scissors; markers/crayons; pen or pencil 1. Cut out the paper doll 2. Decorate your doll 3. Make sure to write your name and personal strength or skill you bring to the cookie program on your doll and be ready to share at the rally.
Get Ready for the Rally! 1. Cut out all of the templates 2. Gather all of your supplies, choose your outfit and dress in your Cookie Team color as mentioned in your confirmation email and get ready to share some fun with your fellow Girl Scouts! PREPARE FOR THE EVENT * If you did not receive a kit, please gather the below items and print the packet (9 pages) attached to this email. Don’t forget to make and wear your headband! * You will want to be at a table or space where you can get a little messy. * You will also want a space where you are not distracted and there is not a lot of noise. * If you are a younger Girl Scout, please ask an adult to help you with crafting! Materials Needed by Activity: • Flower Crown: Jumbo Pipe Cleaner (12”+), 4- 3” x 3” foam pieces (any color will do, but make sure you have 4 different colors, one of which should be green) • Horse Goal Tracker: 1 popsicle stick • Horseshoe Goal Hanger: Wooden Horseshoe or foam cut out in a horseshoe shape, 12” of ribbon • Cookie Bracelet: 12” of jewelry stretch string or 12” piece of string, 1” round key Tags (4), 1” Binder Ring, 20-25 pony beads • Safety Bingo: 10 Bingo Chips if you have them or anything that will hold a place! All Kinds of Horses! Did you know that horses are as powerful and unique as you are? There are more than 350 breeds around the world! Malani These horses are rare. Malani horses are found in India and are famous for their perky, inward turned ears! Zebra Did you know that the African Zebra is a type of horse? It’s considered a wild horse. Each zebra’s stripes are one-of-a-kind, like snowflakes! Bashkir Curlies Pronounced BASH-CUR. Bashkir Curlies are easy to spot! This breed of horse has hair that is naturally curly. Sometimes, their tight curls turn into dreadlocks! Appaloosa Appaloosa horses are best known for their spotted coats, and they are found mostly in North America. Each horse has its own unique spot pattern. Miniature Horse A miniature horse is defined by its small height—usually less than 34 to 38 inches. They are small due to selective breeding. Mini horses are so smart, that they can be house trained like dogs! Akhal Teke Pronounced AH-CALL TEK-KEE. This breed has a dazzling coat that earned it the nickname “Golden Horse.” The Akhal Teke come from Turkmenistan, which is a country in central Asia.
