Get Started! Registered Girl Scouts can sell cookies online through the Digital Cookie (aka Digital Order Card/DOC) platform! There are two ways for Girl Scouts to sell. We encourage girls to use BOTH options to sell cookies. By using both, girls will reach more customers. Traditional Order Card Digital Order Card For customers who want to: For customers who want to: • order face-to-face • order online • pay cash • pay with a credit card • have a Girl Scout deliver • receive long-distance delivery • Girl Delivery Option Delivery February/March 2020 Immediately Order will be submitted to Order will be processed immediately family/troop/eBudde. Cookies at the bakery and shipped as quickly delivered to troop as usual. as possible. • A valid parent email address is REQUIRED for girls to participate in the Digital Cookie program. Parents who provided an email address on their Girl Scout’s registration form will receive an email invitation in December asking them to enroll in DOC. • Girl names will be automatically added to eBudde prior to the sale. • Digital Cookie sales begin January 7 and end March 31. DOC orders will update in eBudde automatically (and girls will receive credit) as they are placed. • There are NO jurisdictional boundaries with Digital Cookie. A registered Girl Scout can sell cookies online to customers anywhere in the country. • Girls may choose to offer some local customers the option of purchasing and paying for cookies online with girl delivery. NEW! All girl-delivery orders will automatically transfer into eBudde and will be included with the girl’s initial order. Visit gsfun.org/cookies for full details. Booth Scheduling In eBudde Troop Sales Your troop should enter the sale location after receiving approval from location manager, along with the date and time. You will receive an automated e-mail from eBudde once council has approved the sale. In addition, the text in eBudde will become green once sale is approved or orange if it is denied. Council Sales These are sale opportunities coordinated by council. They usually do not become available until the middle of February. If a listing is green, there is availability for the location; you can secure the date and time. No automated e-mail is generated for council sales. Your confirmation is your ability to select the date.

Troop Timeline December 18 – January 6 Emails will be sent to volunteers/parents with information to access Digital Online Cookie (DOC). This is an additional option, not intended to replace the traditional cookie order taking. January 2 Troops can begin registering for cookie booth sales using the booth scheduler in eBudde, the cookie ordering system. Troops are required to obtain permission from the booth location manager before submitting their booth requests. Troops can enter these sales that they secure by clicking on “booth sites” then “my sales” and then “add a location.” Enter the information and please remember to submit once completed. Once approved by council, you can expect to receive an automated confirmation email. Council sales will not be available until February due to the process of securing sites with corporate offices, etc. By January 10 Attend a community meeting for training and distribution of cookie sales materials. Distribute sales materials to girls, review safety policies, and collect signed permission slips to be retained for your reference. Familiarize yourself with eBudde and verify your troop information, including your email address, troop level, girls listed. January 7 – March 31 Digital Online Cookie sales period. Girls can begin their online portion of the sale a week before the traditional paper ordering. Girls can now send out their emails to friends and family. NEW THIS YEAR! All digital online cookies sold, donated, to be shipped, and girl delivery, will automatically transfer over to eBudde. The cookies sold through DOC with the girl delivery option will have the same deadline as the girl’s paper orders, Feb. 2nd. This is to ensure that community deliveries include all cookies requested with the initial order. January 15 – February 2 The traditional girl order-taking period with the paper order forms. All varieties of cookies, specialty as well as the core six are at one price point this year. The cost for all cookies is $5.00 per box. By February 4 This is the DEADLINE to collect orders placed on the initial girl order cards and enter them into eBudde. Suggestion – have girls submit their paper order cards to you by February 3, to give you time to enter them into the system by your deadline. Troops planning booth sales can order their cookies with their initial order; use the booth line in eBudde and they will be included with the order. Booth sale cookies can also be ordered at a later date, as described below. Please keep in mind that all cookies ordered are the responsibility of the troop and are non-returnable.
February 22 – 29 The transaction tab in eBudde opens for troops to place booth orders as well as any late orders to be picked up at the council cookie depots, which will begin hours on Monday, February 24. When placing additional orders, keep in mind the initial order rounds up to full cases so you may have loose boxes to consider in your inventory. Council policy is no returns on cookies, so please order carefully. Cookies can be ordered by the box rather than case when picking up at council depots. Community deliveries are scheduled this week. Your coordinator will advise you of your date/time for pick-up. February 28 – April 11 Scheduled booth sales take place. Troops enter their booth sales under the booth sites tab in eBudde for council approval. Please see instructions in this book titled “Booth Scheduling in eBudde.” The council cookie depots are open from 2/24 to 4/08. Troops place booth orders, when needed, under the transaction tab in eBudde at least 2-3 days before the pick-up date requested to give us time to fill all orders. Council cookie depots will be open from Monday-Thursday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and Fridays, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. March 9 The deadline for girls to submit payment to their troops for their cookie orders. Check can be made payable to “GSJS.” IMPORTANT – Be sure to include troop number on the deposit ticket before submitting to your community coordinator so it can be properly credited to your troop. Keep a copy for yourself. March 12 First/preliminary deposits (before all booth sales are completed) are due to council. Please deposit any money received by girls up to now. Refer to the “sales report” tab in eBudde for the amount due to council. March 30 Final deposits are due from troops. Booth sales continue. Troops are not required to cover outstanding balances due by girl/parents. Notify the Product Sales Staff at productsales@jerseyshoregirlscouts.org with any delinquent payments. Be sure to include the amount due and girl/parent name. Begin allocating booth boxes under girls’ names by going to the “girl orders” tab. Select the girl’s name, “add transaction,” and “ok and save” when finished. Travel Scholarships All council-sponsored trips are April 6 eligible for travel scholarships.
