CAREGIVER MEETING Initial Order Phase Caregiver Meeting Schedule a meeting with your girls and caregivers prior to starting the Cookie Program. Use the 2019 Cookie Program Family Packet to explain the program, deadlines, and rules to the girls and caregivers. Recruit volunteers to assist with cookie tasks and gather caregiver agreement forms (last page of the Family Packet). Meeting Checklist With your troop leader, verify your troop roster via MyGS at gswo.org to confirm that all girls are registered. Visit gswo.org/cookieresources and find the Little Brownie Cookie Rookie video—it’s full of tips and explains the cookies to younger troops. Fill out your troop information on the 2nd page of the 2019 Cookie Family Packet. Be sure to include all pertinent information for the families. Remember this is their ‘Cookie Book’. Fill out each cookie order form also. Distribute the Family Packet while you explain the Cookie Program and ways to participate. Have each caregiver complete the 2019 Caregiver Cookie Program Agreement (last page of Family Packet). Collect these and keep them in a safe place. Do not lose them. This is a binding contract for each caregiver and their Girl Scout. Give each Girl Scout an order form once you have the signed caregiver agreement form. Please look for info below on girls with divorced, separated, or multiple caregivers. The agreement form is a binding contract. Follow these guidelines to avoid issues with money collection and financial responsibility at the end of the program. Remind families that the sale does not start until January 4 - no early order taking! Divorced/Separated/Multiple Caregivers: • Have each caregiver complete a separate agreement form for the Girl Scout, signed by each caregiver. • Provide each caregiver with a separate Girl Order Card for when she sells while in their custody. • Each caregiver picks up cookies separately and always receives a receipt. • Let caregivers know that they will be given access to only one Digital Cookie account per Girl Scout, so they may have to share login information.
