Registration Safe Environment Calgary West Soccer Club and Bearspaw Glendale Community Association are continually reviewing Alberta Health and Alberta Soccer updates and guidelines which has up prepared to open up the 2021 Outdoor Season. Our program will be under continual review and will follow all necessary protocols to ensure a safe Outdoor Soccer Season for everyone. We are putting the safety of our players, coaches and volunteers first. For that reason we develop detailed COVID Health and Safety Plans to outline the training environment, to ensure all the safety criteria will be met. We are confident that our COVID plans prevent onward transmission of COVID within any of our teams or training groups. We equip all of our teams with digital thermometers, and all PPE. All of our players are required to fill out our online COVID waivers and declarations. No player will be allowed in the program without a fully signed waiver. We reserve the right to alter or change the Covid-19 protocols or the program design to allow the program to reflect any current adjustments by the Alberta Health Services, ASA, and the Government of Alberta. We will send the COVID Health and Safety Plan to all registrations prior to start of the program.

Registration Registration FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE We believe that every child should have access to soccer in our community. There are a couple of programs to help those in financial hardship: • KidSport • JumpStart FIRST, please register your child by creating a member profile with CWSC and selecting they pay by cheque method of payment for the selected program. Then register with KidSport/JumpStart. These organizations both check back to ensure a registration is complete and confirm fees. Both organizations will then direct deposit the fees into our account, upon approval. If there remains a balance the family is responsible for clearing those up. We will only accept the financial assistance, if this process has been followed exactly.
Registration Registration VOLUNTEERING There is no volunteer component in the Bearspaw Glendale Soccer program. WEATHER CANCELLATIONS Weather updates and cancellations: home page of the Bearspaw Glendale Soccer program MANDATORY ITEMS Parent(s), or a designated caregiver, is required to be at the soccer field while a child is participating in soccer, socially distanced (Fields will have marked parameters from where parents can watch). • a name-tagged water bottle • suitable footwear (running shoes/cleats not mandatory but advised particularly for older groups) • a set of shin guards worn underneath the sock • Face covering as mandated by AHS or other government agencies. • These are mandatory and can be purchased at stores such as Kicks Sports where we have a 10% discount for all members. TEAM PLACEMENT We encourage all players to remain in their age group. However to accommodate siblings in the same group, we will move a younger player up to the older age group, but not down. Once your child is assigned to a cohort, the child will only be able to change to another cohort if all AHS regulations are enforced, including a potential quarantine. The AHS requirement for quarantine may not be desirable and we are not responsible for lost sessions. For friend requests, as long as your child is playing in the same age group as their friend, they will be in the same program together.
