President's Message Our meeting this month will be a tour of Anderson Guitar thanks to the efforts of Ed Reed. Check the Whoozin announcement for a map of the tour site. We will also be having our elections for next year. If you want to nominate anyone, be sure you have their acceptance to serving for the next year. It is with sorrow that I let you know that former member Marshall Nathenson’s wife passed away Janurary 9th. He was her primary care giver the last 5 years so had to drop his membership, but he may be coming to meetings again in the near future. Our March meeting will be a presentation by Bill Aurand on making shadow boxes. He has made a number of them over the years to display memorial items. We will be installing the new officers at that meeting and the challenge for March is a kitchen item. Let’s get to making sawdust and have a large number of entries for that challenge. See you Thursday at the tour. Note From The Editor It’s Election time! This month we not only get to elect a new President and Board but also get the bonus of taking a tour through a real guitar fabrication facility! Please plan to attend. It’s important to participate in the Club. It’s also fun and rewarding to volunteer for a Club Committee, Shop Tour, or Skill Building event. See you there! Club Gatherings Don’t forget: Besides the regular monthly meeting, the Club has several get togethers every month. 2nd Tuesday: Just Coffee, 10:00 to 11:30am, Oaks Mall Food Court 3rd Wednesday: Breakfast, 9:00 to 10:00am, Pickles Newbury Park, 1940 Newbury Road 4th Friday: Breakfast, 9:00 to 10:00am, Denny's Camarillo All of these are great opportunities to meet with fellow woodworkers to have coffee or a meal and swap stories. Club Store Reminder that there is Club merchandise available from Café Press. Several items are available: mugs, hats, t-shirts (add 1 size to shirt orders), refrigerator magnets, just to name a few. All with the Club logo. Just click on the “Store” button on our website. The Club benefits from everything you buy!
