Christmas Eve
4:00pm
8:00pm
10:00pm
12:00amDear Friends in Christ, “The light shines through the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it” (John 1:5) Advent begins the new liturgical year in the Catholic Church. It allows us to prepare our hearts for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. With the birth of Jesus comes new life, and with new life comes renewed hope. And hope we need; hope that the new life Jesus brings will continue the Church and our world, which too often seems to be overcome by darkness. This darkness can be felt on a personal level, as well. This “most wonderful time of the year” is one of the hardest for many people. Within Saint Francis Borgia, we have suffered over this past time. People over the world have suffered. It is impossible not to mention the Covid-19 Pandemic, the source of that suffering and fears. This virus has affected almost every aspect of our life. Many people died, and so many are still afraid. And when Christmas comes, the pain of that person not being there becomes very real, and the joy of Christmas can be tough to experience. But the mystery we are preparing to celebrate, the miracle we are about to witness in a few weeks, makes something very clear and essential, something we sometimes forget when we are struggling, namely that we are not alone! God became one of us so that, in the person of Jesus, He can walk with us, comfort us, dry our tears and pick us up after we have fallen – all of it out of love for us. Will we let Jesus bring light to our darkness, hope to our despair, and peace to our struggles? Will we let the living God be born in us once again so that no matter what comes our way, we will know that we are not alone, that we neither have to cry alone nor bear our burdens alone as if no one cares? Jesus is with us – Emmanuel! He is with us not as someone who came and went but as someone alive in every heart open to His grace. That is how much God cares. That is how understanding and compassionate our God is. May we never forget that. May we journey this coming year with Jesus in our hearts. May we allow His light to disperse whatever darkness we may be experiencing so that peace, hope, joy, and love may reign again. Merry Christmas! Fr. Greg Wojcik Administrator Drodzy Przyjaciele w Chrystusie, „Światłość w ciemności świeci i ciemność jej nie ogarnie” (Jan 1:5) Adwent rozpoczyna w kościele katolickim nowy rok liturgiczny. My też w naszej parafii św. Abyśmy pozwolili, aby Jego światło rozproszyło każdą ciemność, jakiej doświadczamy, aby pokój, nadzieja, radość i miłość mogły ponownie zapanować w naszych sercach, w naszym domach, w naszych rodzinach. Wesołych Świąt! Ks. Grzegorz Wójcik Administrator

I NABOŻEŃSTWO DO ŚW. RITY
W ŚRODĘ, 22 GRUDNIA NA GODZ. 7:00 PM
Modlitwa do św. Rity o wstawiennictwo w niebie
O Święta Rito, nasza patronko także w sprawach niemożliwych,
opiekunko w sprawach beznadziejnych, proszę wstaw się w mojej
intencji, aby Bóg uwolnił mnie z obecnego utrapienia i oddalił lęk,
który dręczy moje serce. Przez udręki, których sama tak często
doświadczałaś w podobnych sytuacjach, miej dla mnie współczucie,
ufnie proszę Cię o wstawiennictwo u Jezusa Ukrzyżowanego.
O Święta Rito, kieruj intencjami i gorącymi pragnieniami w mojej
pokornej modlitwie. Mam wielką nadzieję, że naprawiając przeszłe
grzeszne życie moje i po otrzymaniu odpuszczenia wszystkich
grzechów moich, kiedyś w niebie będę się cieszyć Bogiem razem
z Tobą przez całą wieczność.Amen.SFB PARISH COUNCIL MEMBERS: READINGS FOR THE WEEK
