25th March 2021 Resilience Respect Excellence Pride Tomorrow, 26th March, is a Student-Free Day! Home/School Connections. We would like your feedback please. Effective communication between the home and school is a very important element of the education process. At West there are many ways our parents and teachers communicate. We would like you to reflect on them and tell us what you think. We are truly committed to improving the communication process and would like you to tell us how we can do so. Please take 5 minutes to complete the survey on Seesaw. The link will be posted on Seesaw and Compass Monday. SRC Activity Day – Crazy Dress Day Our Student Leaders (SRC) have organised some fun for our last day of school, Thursday April 1st. They would love it if everyone could dress “CRAZILY”. This could include: Crazy hats, crazy hair, crazy socks, crazy clothes…………………….any crazy clothes really! Come along in your crazy gear and have lots of fun!! Little Lost Books – Please have a hunt at your house. Each year we buy hundreds of little “take home books” so our children can learn to read. The books are tiny and get lost easily. PLEASE have a look in your home to see if any are “hiding” under the couch, the bed, or between the cushions on the couch! They hide anywhere because they are skinny and elusive! Please return any you find to school because lots have gone missing. Good Bye and Good Luck Annie I would like to wish our Wellbeing Officer, Annie Villiva, all the best as she goes on maternity leave. Annie has supported our children and families for several years. We are truly grateful for all she has done for our school community. Annie will return in 2022. We are presently recruiting someone to take Annie’s place. As I commence my Maternity Leave on Tuesday the 23rd of March I would love to say Thank you and Goodbye to my Beautiful Mildura West Community. To all the Kids, Teachers, ES, Parents and Carers thank-you for trusting me to Support and Help so many different children and families at our wonderful school. I will miss you all! See you all on my return in 2022. Love Annie
