28th November 2019 Dear Parent As mentioned by Mark Powell in our school newsletter and at our last P & F meeting, the schools in Papua New Guinea are extremely under-resourced and students, as well as teachers, do not have basic equipment such as stationery. As a school, we will be collecting any unwanted stationery items at the end of the term and these will be sent across to the schools in Papua New Guinea early next year. If you are happy for your child to put their used textas, colour pencils, erasers, sharpeners, rulers, pencils, pens, etc. into a collection box on the last day of school, please indicate this on the reply slip below. If you would like to send in any additional items of stationery, new or used, please feel free to do so anytime between now and the end of the term. Collection boxes will be placed on a table outside the Year 5 & 6 area. Thank you for your support. Regards Diane Scriven Assistant Principal I hereby give my permission for my child to donate their used stationery items on the last day of school this term.
