FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Are scholarships awarded? Scholarships are awarded annually at each level during Winter School. The winners are judged on motivation and dedication in all areas and will be awarded a scholarship covering full course fees only (not including RAD), to the following year’s Winter School. Scholarships will be awarded on Friday 16 July. This will not alter Friday’s scheduled classes. Senior 2 and Senior 3 scholarships entitle the students to participate in a week’s training alongside the full- time students at NZSD. Can I request a specific class allocation for my child? Students working at the same level may request to be placed in the same class as another student for transportation reasons only. Please indicate your request at the time of application. The School will endeavour to fulfil this request but offers no guarantee. Can I observe my child in class? Parents/guardians are not permitted to view classes from Monday to Thursday. There will be an Open Day on Friday 16 July, and parents are invited into the studio to observe classes from start to finish.
