LIBRARY SERVICES How do I access the NTU Library? ▪ Bring along your photo ID EZ-Link Card for access to the Lee Wee Nam Library. ▪ Your EZ-Link Card will also have to be presented whenever you wish to loan materials from the Library. How do I borrow reference materials from the NTU Library? ▪ Your EZ-Link Card doubles up as your library card to loan materials from the NTU Library. Do always have your EZ-Link Card with you when you visit any of the NTU Libraries.
ATTENDANCE Is it compulsory for me to attend all lectures, tutorials and laboratory lessons listed in my course schedule? ▪ All lectures, tutorials and laboratory sessions listed in your course schedule/timetable are strictly compulsory. You are expected to be present for ALL lectures, tutorials and lab sessions unless you have a valid excuse. ▪ Your attendance at all lectures, tutorials and lab sessions will be tracked and will be subject to auditing/checking by MOE and SEAB.
ATTENDANCE What should I do if I fall ill and am not able to attend classes? • You should see a doctor immediately to obtain a Medical Certificate (MC) to certify that you are medically unfit to attend class. The MC must be dated on the actual day of absence. • You are to send an email to TalentOutreach@ntu.edu.sg on the day of your absence. Your email should contain your name, school, H3 Taught Module enrolled in, and the date and reason for your absence. Remember to copy your H3 School Coordinator in your email. • The original MC must be mailed within 2 days of your absence to the Talent Outreach Section:
ATTENDANCE What should I do if I am not able to attend classes because I have to represent my school? ▪ Apart from the times when you have taken ill and have a valid MC to cover your absence, you will be required to seek approval for all other instances that will result in you being absent. ▪ You will need to speak with your H3 School Coordinator. Your H3 School Coordinator will have to submit an official letter/email of excuse to NTU to cover the duration of your absence. This letter/email must reach NTU 10 working days before the period of absence. ▪ You must receive official approval from NTU through your H3 School Coordinator before absenting yourself.
ASSESSMENT COMPONENTS What are the assessment components for the NTU- H3 Taught Module I am taking?
TESTS & EXAMINATIONS Can I be excused from the tests listed in the Test & Examinations Schedule? TESTS ▪ Absence from all tests listed in the Tests & Examinations Schedule is strongly discouraged. o All tests count towards your final A-Level grade. They are to be treated with equal importance as the final A-Level examinations. o Any absence must be covered by an MC from an independent doctor. The MC must be dated on the actual day of absence. ▪ You are required to send an email to TalentOutreach@ntu.edu.sg on the day of your absence. o Your email should contain your name, school, H3 Taught Module, and the date and reason for your absence. You are to copy your H3 School Coordinator in all emails sent.
TESTS & EXAMINATIONS Can I be excused from the final examination listed in the Test & Examinations Schedule? FINAL EXAMINATION ▪ No absence from the final examination will be allowed. An “Absent” grade will be issued by SEAB even if an MC is produced. ▪ In the event of any absence o You are required to send an email to TalentOutreach@ntu.edu.sg. o Your email should contain your name, school, H3 Taught Module, and the date and reason for your absence. You are to copy your H3 School Coordinator in all emails sent to us. o The original MC must be mailed within 2 days of your absence to the Talent Outreach Section.
TESTS & EXAMINATIONS What should I do if I am not able to sit for a test because I have to represent my school? ▪ Absence from tests listed in the Tests & Examinations Schedule is strongly discouraged. However, if you have been picked to represent your school, your H3 School Coordinator will have to submit a request for absence on your behalf. Your request must reach NTU 10 working days prior to the scheduled test date. ▪ Approval is not guaranteed and will be considered only for exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis. ▪ You must receive official approval from NTU through your H3 School Coordinator BEFORE absenting yourself.
TESTS & EXAMINATIONS Are there examination rules and regulations pertaining to the NTU-H3 Taught Module I should take note of? ▪ All students sitting for the final examination for an NTU-H3 Taught Module must read through and familiarise yourself with the Examination Rules and Regulations for NTU-H3 Taught Modules prior to the final examination. TESTS & EXAMINATIONS What happens if the MRT breaks down or if there are other unexpected situations during the day of the NTU-H3 Taught Module examination? ▪ Read the Guidelines on the Handling of Unexpected Situations so that you know what to do should something unexpected occur on the day of your final written examination. Written Exam: Unexpected Situations
TESTS & EXAMINATIONS What happens if I fall seriously ill or if an adverse event occurs on or during the period/day of the NTU-H3 Taught Module examination? ▪ If your performance in the NTU-H3 Taught Module final Written Exam: written examination has been affected by serious illness Special Consideration or adverse events, you may apply for Special Consideration (SC). ▪ Examples of adverse events: o Debilitating illness; o Psychological condition (e.g. severe anxiety or depression); o Bereavement in the immediate family (either a parent, grandparent or sibling); Application Form: o Serious trauma (e.g. victim of crime, accident or Special Consideration disaster).
ACCESS ARRANGEMENTS I have successfully applied for Access Arrangements (AA) through MOE/SEAB for my previous sittings at the national examinations. Can I apply for AA for my NTU-H3 Taught Module examinations? (…/1) ▪ All applications for Access Arrangements (AA) for candidates with learning or physical disabilities offering an NTU-H3 Taught Module must be made through the Office of Admissions, NTU. ▪ All applications for AA apply ONLY to the final written examination for the NTU-H3 Taught Module you are enrolled in.

ACCESS ARRANGEMENTS I have successfully applied for Access Arrangements (AA) through MOE/SEAB for my previous sittings at the national examinations. Can I apply for AA for my NTU-H3 Taught Module examinations? (…/3) ▪ Applications for AA must be accompanied by the requisite supporting documents. Applications without supporting documents will be not be processed and considered. ▪ The completed application form and all supporting documents must be submitted to your H3 School Coordinator in hardcopy for completion of Sections E and F in confidence. Schools must courier the application form and all documents to reach NTU before 28 February of the year of examination.
WITHDRAWING FROM AN H3 TAUGHT MODULE Can I withdraw once I have handed in my acceptance for an NTU-H3 Taught Module? (…/1) ▪ You may choose to withdraw from an NTU H3 Taught Module after confirming your acceptance. Conditions do apply so do take note of the Withdrawal Schedule: Before the Official Start of Instruction No Penalty before 18 Jan 2021

WITHDRAWING FROM AN H3 TAUGHT MODULE What is the procedure for withdrawal? (…/2) ▪ You are to complete and sign the official MOE Withdrawal Form. You will be required to get your parent/guardian as well as your H3 School Coordinator to acknowledge/endorse on the form. ▪ Submit the official MOE Withdrawal Form to your H3 School Coordinator. ▪ Your H3 School Coordinator will send the original copy H3 School of the form back to NTU on your behalf.
