Monday, April 19 – Pupil Free Day Teachers will be engaged in health and safety protocol training and instructional planning. There will be a 30 minutes check in with students. Tuesday, April 20 - Grade TK/K and 1st BEGIN The First Week This will be the first day of the hybrid/online cohort for our youngest students only. Grade 2-5 will remain online with there teacher on this day. of School Wednesday, April 21 – Grades 2 and 3 BEGIN Reopening This will be the first day of the hybrid/online cohort for our grades 2 and 3. Grade 4-5 will remain online with there teacher on this day. Thursday, April 22 – Grades 4 and 5 BEGIN This will be the first day of the hybrid/online cohort for our grades 4 and 5. Friday, April 22 – ALL GRADES
Student Preview Day We’ll be hosting Student Preview Days for each grade level next week. Student Preview Day One student and one parent can come to school to tour the campus before returning the following week. Day Grade Monday, April 12 TK/K/1 The tours are scheduled by grade level just like the grade-level assemblies and are on the same day, but will happen from 8- Tuesday, April 13 2 8:30am each day so students will hopefully not miss any class Wednesday, April 14 3 instruction. Thursday, April 15 4 Friday, April 16 5 Siblings can come on the same day if needed, but tours are 8:00-8:30 am going to be grade-specific, so it’s better if they can come on their specific grade-level day.
School is set up to be a 6 hour day. ● 3 Hours of In-Person Instruction Daily Hybrid ● 3 Hours of Asynchronous Instruction Schedule (Specials Classes will take place Clarification during the asynchronous time

On Site Testing Plan • Parents will have a waiver for testing during school hours • Mobile team visit school on a predesignated day Covid Testing During School • Teams will visit classrooms and test several students at a time outside the room • Parents will receive and email with the results; also available at the Daily Pass website. • Flexible testing opportunities available until 7:00 pm for student and household members

Students – will be provided with a medical-grade mask and accompanied to an isolation area to await pick-up by family Immediately quarantine exposed employees and/or students. Exposure* Provide access to testing for all exposed individuals. Report all COVID-19 Cases to the Community Engagement Team and determine notification to LACDPH. Communicating notification procedures for any member of the school community who tests positive or experiences symptoms consistent with COVID-19. * Much more to come on this topic.

Preparing our School Facilities
Our classrooms have been reconfigured to meet County guidelines and maximize space between students, ensuring at least a 6- foot distance between students. Currently, a class can hold as many student as can be comfortably separate by 6 feet. Classrooms

While restroom occupancy will vary, 6-foot social distancing must be maintained and signs/physical barriers on alternating fixtures and sinks. Restrooms will be serviced and sanitized hourly. More frequent disinfecting will be required if there is an exposure risk. The plan is to have a staff member monitor at each of our student restrooms. They’ll be stationed outside the restroom to ensure that we Restrooms don’t have more that the recommended number of students inside at one time

Covid-19 Testing
Baseline covid-19 testing will be conducted for all students and staff during the 7 days prior to a physical reopening of LAUSD schools for regular in-person instruction. All LAUSD students and staff who will be returning to the school campus will be provided with a back-to-school baseline test. Baseline Covid Testing Students whose families choose to continue distance learning are not required to participate in this testing program.

We have designated specific areas for certain grade levels: TK/K and 1 – Main Entrance Grades 2 & 3 – Upper Lot on Wonderland Ave Drop Off/Pick Grades 4 & 5 – Up Areas Lookout Mountain Pedestrian Gate Magnet Bus will drop off/pick up in front lot, as usual
Recess will look very different than it did in the days prior to the school closure. Recess will primarily be a 20- Recess minute bathroom and stretch break on the yard. Masks and social distancing will be maintained.
During our last school year, we have 30 approved parent volunteers and 13 pending. Meaning they have been approved through the Parent application process, background check and TB clearances. Volunteers We would love to have our official parent volunteers back on campus for support, but we are waiting for district guidance.
Approximately a week or two prior to our return: Each grade level will be invited to campus after school. Student We’ll give the student and a family member Preview Days a preview of the campus, the processes and possibly a look at your classroom. More to come on Student Preview day…
