Grooming Area: A small grooming area will be reserved for the California Brittany Club on a first come first serve basis. Club General Membership Meeting: A luncheon in the redwood grove adjacent to the show building or at the California Brittany club grooming area will be held after judging. The club will provide the main dish. Club members are requested to bring a potluck side dish or desert to share. The luncheon will be held in conjunction with a General Meeting of the California Brittany Club. There will be an opportunity drawing at the meeting. All members are requested to bring a raffle ready item to the luncheon. All members, guests and specialty participants are welcome to attend. The California Brittany Club will support the entry on Monday offering trophies for Best of Breed, Best of Winners, Best of Opposite Sex. The Great Western Flat Coated Retriever Club, sponsored by the Flat Coated Retriever Society of America will support the entry of Flat Coated Retrievers on Saturday. The Great Western Flat Coated Retriever Club introduces the Karen Sack memorial trophy in honor of our beloved lifetime member, and friend, Karen Sack of Alpha Retrievers. A former member of the Los Encinos Kennel Club, Karen was a strong advocate for the GWFCR Club and its supporting of entries at the Mission Circuit dog shows. Featuring the bronze artwork of Dannyquest Designs, the Karen Sack memorial trophy is mounted on a solid walnut base, and will feature engraved plates with the names of the Best of Breed winners from the Karen Sack tribute supported shows. For permanent possession, the trophy must be won three times by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog/bitch, and not necessarily at consecutive shows. The trophy will remain in possession of the GWFCR Club until an owner wins their third "Best of Breed" win which retires the trophy. Prizes and rosettes will be offered for Best of Breed, Best of Winners, Best of Opposite Sex, Best of Breed Owner Handler, Select, Winners, Reserve and Highest Scoring Flat Coated Retriever in Obedience. Flat Coated Retriever Sweepstakes Judge: Mr. Loran Morgan This sweepstakes is open to all Flat Coated Retrievers who are 6 months and under 18 months of age on the day of the show. CLASSES (divided by sex): 6 - 9 months, 9 - 12 months. 12 - 18 months All entries in this sweepstakes must also be entered in a Regular class in this show. BEST OF BREED: “Setting the Standard” trophy is a cold cast bronze moving Standard Schnauzer on a walnut base. Retired in 2004 by CH Pepper Tree Bel Air London, it was donated in 2005 by Margaret Mohn (London’s Standards) Richard Renshaw Challenge Trophy is a bronze Standard Schnauzer with puppies in a basket on a wooden base. BEST OPPOSITE SEX: “Beauty and Brains” is an original bronze Standard Schnauzer on a marble and wood base donated in memory of Martha Carpenter, retired and re-donated by Earl & Arden Holst (Pepper Tree Standard Schnauzers) BEST OF WINNERS: KB’s Standard Schnauzers Challenge Trophy is a cold cast bronze Standard Schnauzer head by Sue Stephenson on a wooden base donated by Karen & Gordon Benson. WINNERS DOG: Stardust Standard Schnauzers Challenge Trophy is a cold cast bronze sculpted head on a wooden plaque donated by Carol and Ed Karas. High Scoring Standard Schnauzer in Trial - Engraved Leatherette Notebook The Standard Schnauzer Club of Southern California will support the entry on Friday, Sunday and Monday and offers dog related trophies for Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex, Winners Dog and Winners Bitch. The performance trophy scores will be taken from Friday’s trials and presented at the Banquet PARADE OF TITLE HOLDERS AND PARADE OF VETERANS - Following Best of Breed, non- competitive exhibition classes for dogs or bitches that are holders of either an AKC championship of record title, obedience or rally title, other AKC performance title and/or working dog title as issued by the Standard Schnauzer Club of Southern California; or are seven years of age on or before the day of the show (with or without titles). Each entrant will receive a commemorative rosette. Entry fee is $18.
