After the project "TEXNET 1 with 7 artists from Europe, The new project "TEXNET 2" began with 20 members from Europe, the United States, Canada and Australia started with the project “Textile Calendar” in 2018. They decided to work together for a period of two years. The basis for the work is textile material but there was also the possibility of using non-textile materials. The members of the group interact and discuss via Facebook. Each of the artists has been working with textiles for a long time, with their respective national background and culture. For the project Textile Calendar the members were asked to choose a theme and two work on it depicting one textile year using their techniques, their materials and colours. The result is an extraordinary exhibition with 365 artwotks of the sizes 15x15cm and 32x15cm and 32x32cm. Additionally a second calendar was created by 12 of the artists who did large pieces of 90x150cm for the twelve months of the year. With their first exhibition scheduled in 2020 and postponed to 2021, 21 international artists , who have never met togetherin one place, want to show how fruitful interaction can be over the internet.

The Project TEXNET 2
In September 2018 Juliette Eckel invited
textile artists from Europe, the United
States, Canada and Australia. To join the
project TEXNET 2.
As with the TEXNET 1 project, the 20
artists worked together for two years.
