Wonderful World BookWriting! Day! ThSeuMasrb pe driRtienagder! keW Year 5 and 6 have been reading The High- wayman poem and have produced some fantastic writing based on it - it was simply to fabulous not to share! Joe P 5EZ It was a stormy, hideous night. It was like a dark, ominous shadow L was looming over the desolate moor. The strong, muscular wind ripped the bare bones off the twisted, gnarled trees as fog descended slowly up to the purple moor. The thunder roared like a hungry lion, lightening stroke the wet, cobbled path. Slamming down was the monstrous rain, meanwhile the grey, black clouds huddle together like a gang of threatening wrestlers. Occasionally, the moon reflected on the old wonky path. In the gloomy distance came a man who had always been more violent than a soldier. He had a sword and pistol on his hip, he kept riding, riding, riding.
Wonderful Writing! Superb Writing Henry A 5EZ Above the purple moon, an ominous and sinister shadow materialised and engulfed the desolate land. Contorted trees hung in despair as a cascade of rain impaled the sodden ground. The thunder roared like a lion. Wind shrieked, lightning struck. Snaking in between the roots of the trees was a denseL fog. Meanwhile colossal clouds billowed like a giant. Moonlight occa- sionally glared on the path creating tiny pools of light. Over the peak of the hill came the rider. Tlot, tlot, the highway man who carried a pistol came riding, riding, riding…… Harry P 5EZ The sinister darkness descended over the gloomy lifeless moor, swallowing everything in its path. The crooked trees that look like witches fingers hung in despair as the wind howled like a hungry vicious werewolf. Thunder yelled, lightning thrashed. Piercing through the clouds was the moon. After the last strike of lightning, the fog slithered through the uneven tree roots like a hissing anaconda hunting down prey whilst the sky flung down a menace. The moon was a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas. Over the brow of the hill the Highway man who is extremely dangerous came riding, riding, riding with a pistol in his hand ……..
Wonderful Writing! Superb Writing Dylan H 5EZ A barbaric darkness swarmed the taunting and terrifying lifeless moor. The fog cloaked the moor as fallen and daunting trees hung with moss covering it like thick ivy. Wind roared, hail penetrated the cobbled ground. Mocking grey clouds huddled in the sky. The moon could be seen occasionally through the night. Tlot, L highway man carries a pistol in his pocket and wears a sparkly velvet coat tlot, the who came riding, riding to the old inn door. Joshua T 6ZR Black. Pitch black. Terrorizing the helpless hostage hamlet, a malevolent torrent of darkness infected every household with its plague of blackness slicing through twilight gloom. The dazzling moon was a shimmering beam of hope tossed upon the desolate cloud filled sky. Elegant ribbons of moonlight illuminated the dim, dusky fog, which sprawled itself across the breath taking landscape. However this peace and beauty wold be short lived for up in the sky a torrid storm (which would reign terror on the countryside) was beginning to brew. Angered by the ignorant town, the cloud released countless droplets of rain, which cascaded down and saturated the violet moor. Perfect purple heather was strewn across the jaw-dropping scenery. Beauty in the eye of the storm. Worried wind whistled woefully as it danced gracefully through the trees. The trees were magnificent wooden skyscrapers looming powerfully over the measly land, a rickety entwined pathway led to a shadowed figure. Some think the figure was evil; others think he was kind and compassionate.
Wonderful Writing! Superb Writing Rebecca B 6ZR Thunder crashing, wind thrashing over the indigo moor. Darkness creeping, grey clouds weeping On top of the polished cobble floor. Let me in! Screamed the rain Above the shrouded inn. Now the landlord with no daughter A funeral was within The covers still now red L The bullet still in her side This was the night that poor Bess had died Mist prancing, moonlight dancing Beneath the droopy maize fields Floods breaching, carriage wheels screeching The land the storm now wields Soon the land – lord with no daughter a funeral to be within The shutters still open The sheets still unchanged The finlock soon at her side This would be the sorrow night that poor black-eyed Bess had died Lightning waking, shutters shaking For all that had happened tonight Windows shattering, door handles clattering All in the morning light
