Traditional Worship, 11am in the Sanctuary The dark blue hymnal will be used today We Assemble In God's Name Prelude Knowing You Graham Kendrick Greetings * Call to Worship (Psalm 139—Selected Verses) O Lord, you search for us and know us. You know when we sit down and when we rise up. You discern our thoughts from far away. You are acquainted with all our ways. Even before a word is on our tongues, O Lord, you know it completely. Let us worship the God who love us and has chosen us! * Invocation * Hymn No. 447 Lead On, O King Eternal * Call to Confession * Prayer of Confession Heavenly Father, we are here because you have chosen to touch our lives with your love. Yet, we sometimes find it hard to choose you. We face so many decisions in our lives — big, little, and in-between. Sometimes, we are overwhelmed. Often, we are distracted. Usually, we are tired. We don’t always recognize opportunities to serve you, to share your love or to use our gifts for your glory. Forgive us when we make decisions based on selfish desires. Forgive us when we choose to judge rather than listen. Forgive us when we ignore or neglect our faith. Remind us who we are and whose we are — your beloved children. Strengthen and renew us by the power of your Holy Spirit so that our decisions bear witness to your claim on our lives. May we live as your chosen people — sincere and devoted followers of Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord, in whose name we pray… * Moment of Silence for Individual Confession * Assurance of Pardon * All that are able please stand
