1000 BOOKS BEFORE SCHOOL For preschool children 0-5 years. Share 1000 books with your child in the years before they start school to prepare them for formal learning and nurture a love of books, reading and language. It’s never too early to start reading to your child – even newborns. You can read a thousand different books or read one book a thousand times! Books experienced at library story time sessions, preschool, daycare and playgroup can also be counted towards your child’s total. You’ll get a free library bag when you register, there are milestone rewards to collect as you progress through the program, and of course there’s a certificate at the end. The program is completed when your child reaches 1000 books or they start school. Register via the Beanstack App and collect your bag from the library. Kingston Libraries | 7
