REBUILDING OUR CHURCH CONTINUES ON SUNDAY, MAY 16 — WITH YOU! At the April 8 Church Board Meeting it was established that form follows function. But what is the function of the Paradise Adventist Church? Another point we discussed is the importance of the initial impact that a guest from the community receives when walking into our facility for the very first time. So where does that put us? A process has been identified— and it begins with you! The PAC leadership has planned two Town Hall Meetings. The first one took place on April 25. The second will be on Sunday, May 16 following a 9 am Pancake Breakfast. We will break into focus groups (much like we did previously when searching for our new Lead Pastor) and listen to your ideas for ministry vision on the Ridge. We will also ask for suggestions from the floor of 5 people to serve on a Vision Committee in addition to 5 people selected by the Church Board. This Vision Committee will determine what spaces are needed in our new facility to enable the ministries that we provide to our members and the Ridge community at large. They will also come up with a physical Master Plan for our new campus which will ultimately become the basis of the Building Committee’s task. (We invite you to attend the May 16 Town Hall even if you attended the Town Hall meeting on April 25. There will be new questions for those who previously attended and a special focus group for returnees. There will be a Zoom option for those who can't attend in-person. Look for Zoom link in the e-bulletin next week. ) We have quite a journey ahead of us — but we can’t get started without you! So jump on board and plan to join us on May 16 for this exciting venture where EVERYONE has a say in what our new church will look like! 13
Many of our Elders will be contributing to the visitation responsibilities on behalf of our Pastoral Staff. In case of emergency this weekend, please call the Elder-On-Call: Margo Fillmore (530.797.9215) 14
