CENTREVILLE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH JANUARY 2021 The Messenger Our Mission Is To Make Disciples For Jesus Christ MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR: AROUND THE CHURCH One chapter is about to end. It is ending, but it is not the end of the story! Just like a good book, the action continues to move and grow. Can you feel it? The year 2020 is not the one that we hoped or planned. It had more heartache and challenges. There was one curve after a next! Through it, the tension has been rising. In some ways, we feel like the roller coaster slowly creeping up the hill waiting for the next drop. Baptism – Kelly & Addison Neal Now don’t get me wrong, there have been highlights and moments of celebrating in this year. We must not allow the lower parts of the year to overshadow the moments that gave us hope and joy. As we turn to a new year, I want to share the scripture that God has placed on my heart. It is from Isaiah 43. God is speaking to the Nation of Israel and tells them that He will restore them once again. He reminds them that he has saved them in the past and delivered them from slavery and oppression. We reached many people both near and far. The readings that we used were through Seedbed. They allowed us to use their materials in a different way this year and we are so grateful. They will be sent each day to your email and most days you have an option to read or listen to the text for the day. Starting January 1, 2021, they will begin with devotions titled First Word.
