April 2018 to March 2019 FY 2018 This report is dedicated to our partners, donors and volunteers who have invested in the healthcare of our children. Together, your generosity and commitment makes a difference and changes lives! NUHkids is the brand name of the Khoo Teck Puat-National University Children’s Medical Institute (KTP- NUCMI), the paediatric arm of the National University Hospital. KTP-NUCMI is also the principal teaching facility of the Department of Paediatrics in the National University of Singapore’s Medical School. The focus of NUHkids’ academic, research and clinical programmes is to find better ways to assess, manage and treat paediatric conditions to enable our young patients to realise their fullest potential and achieve their best in health and in life. Philanthropic support provides us with the extra assistance to excel in what we do – provide the best possible outcomes for our young patients. Your support will help to change the future of these young lives in Singapore. With the vision to create a better patient experience for our young patients, IKEA sparked joy by furnishing all nursing rooms and the Rehabilitation Centre at the new Paediatric outpatient building! Both mothers and children have taken comfort in the nursing rooms that feel like home, common areas that feel like children's theme park, whilst staff take advantage of the smart and beautiful storage solutions that organise spaces so effectively in the consultation rooms. Thanks to IKEA's big hearts, sustainable products and inspiring designs, our young patients and their families enjoy their hospital visits. For their commitment and generosity, IKEA is honoured as our Heart of Gold awardee for 2018! "When sharing the same values, the journey is much more enjoyable than the destination. Thank you, NUHkids, for letting IKEA be part of your new beautiful building!" Max Von Bodungen Local Marketing & Communications Manager IKEA Alexandra, Singapore
