RETURN TO BASKETBALL PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES VERSION 1.8 - 20/01/2021 AS PER BASKETBALL VICTORIA RETURN TO SPORT GUIDELINES
RETURN TO BASKETBALL - PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES WELCOME BACK... We’re excited to see you all out on the courts again, however it is important to understand that we are currently operating under strict restrictions. As such, we need everyone involved in basketball to DO NOT ENTER IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS: work together and follow our directives. Part of this is ensuring that no one enters the stadium if they are feeling unwell. RETURN TO BASKETBALL - PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES ENTERING & EXITING There are designated entry and exit points for each court. You must follow the sign posted directions when moving around the venue. NO ENTRY PLEASE ENTER VIA THE SIGNED FACE MASKS ENTRY POINTS As per government requirements. Whilst wearing a face mask is currently not mandatory, it is recommended that a face mask is worn in crowded areas or where social distancing is not possible. We strongly encourage all spectators to wear a face KEEP A SAFE mask. RETURN TO BASKETBALL - PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES MOVING THROUGHOUT THE VENUE The map below shows how traffic will be expected to move throughout the venue. Please avoid arriving early to your scheduled game, and leave promptly after your game has completed. VERSION 1.8 - 20/01/2021 PAGE 4
RETURN TO BASKETBALL - PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES CHECK IN ON ARRIVAL We are required to keep an attendance register. You can check in on your phone by scanning the QR code displayed near the stadium entry. Latrobe Leisure staff will assist those without a device to complete the check in process. GAMES NIGHTS EVERYONE in attendance must MUST check in upon entry. This includes ALL PLAYERS, SPECTATORS, COACHES and OFFICIALS. TRAINING SESSIONS EVERYONE in attendance MUST check in upon entry. COACHES must book their training time slot via email on Jean.Magnuson@latrobe.vic.gov.au Venue check in will require the following information: • Your full name and phone number or email address VERSION 1.8 - 20/01/2021 PAGE 5
RETURN TO BASKETBALL - PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES PARENTS, SPECTATORS & GUESTS Under current government restrictions and Basketball Victoria Return to Sport Guidelines, spectators limits are now unrestricted, however a total venue capcity KEEP A SAFE limit still applies. DISTANCE PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING WHERE POSSIBLE To reduce the risk of any potential transmission of COVID-19, we strongly encourage all spectators to stay 1.5M at home where possible. If you do not reasonably need to be in the venue, please stay at home. RETURN TO BASKETBALL - PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES HYGIENE PRACTICES • All attendees will be required to sanitise their hands upon entry to the stadium. • Participants will be required to sanitise their hands PLAYER AND PARENT when subbing in and out of the game, along with at the half time break and any time outs. INFORMATION • Players must not share drink bottles or towels. • Bring a full, labelled drink bottle from home. • Avoid high fives, handshakes, fist bumping or other WASH OR SANITISE YOUR unnecessary contact. PREPARE/DRESS AT HOME SHOWER BEFORE AND AFTER GAMES HANDS BEFORE AND AFTER GAMES • Do not use public water fountains. • Do not use change room facilities. • Avoid using toilet facilities where possible. 1.5M 10 • Sanitise the score bench equipment before and after games. Sanitiser will be provided. ENTER AND EXIT THE STADIUM WITHIN 10 MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING WHERE OBEY VENUE STAFF/COVID SAFETY • Avoid sharing equipment where possible. MINUTES OF YOUR GAME POSSIBLE (1.5M) OFFICER • Basketballs are to be sanitised at the venue prior PLEASE STAY AT HOME IF UNWELL to use. Match balls will be sanitised before and after games. RETURN TO BASKETBALL - PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES IF YOU OR A FAMILY MEMBER TEST POSITIVE Once you have followed the advice of the government’s COVID-19 Hotline and your GP, it is imperative that you contact Basketball Moe Inc. You will need to advise us of the time and date you were in the venue and what court you were on. If you need to advise us of a positive test result, contact Nicholas Cleef on 0458 275 387. The COVID-19 Hotline can be contacted on 1800 675 398. VERSION 1.8 - 20/01/2021 PAGE 8
KEY POINTS 1. Stay home if you are unwell. Especially if you have COVID-19 like symptoms. 2. Avoid arriving to your game early. 3. Enter and exit through the correct doors / pathways. 4. Check in when you arrive via your phone (or at reception). 5. Sanitise your hands upon entry. 6. Wear a face mask if required under government restrictions. 7. Maintain social distancing in the stadium. 8. Whilst spectators are not restricted, we ask that they stay at home where possible. 9. Listen to Latrobe Leisure Centre Staff and Basketball Moe Staff at all times. 10. Leave the venue promptly after your game has completed. 11. If you test positive, notify us immediately.
