Do not overload the vehicle and never have more passengers than seats available (eg 1 bench seat = 1 driver and 1 passenger). 8. To avoid possible injury to passengers, pedestrians, driver or
damage to other vehicles, avoid sudden starts, sudden stops and abrupt turns. Also reduce speed in crowded areas/roads and for turning. 9. Keep to established paths whenever possible and endeavour to follow directional signs where displayed unless a medical exemption is granted. 12. Keep carts at least 5 metres from tees except when on a formed path and 15 metres from all greens and greenside bunkers 13. Park carts to the rear of greens or to the side leading to the next tee, NEVER in front of greens. This will greatly assist the Pace of Play. 14. If course conditions are wet, carts should only travel on the driest and firmest parts of the golf course and should stay away from critical golf areas as much as possible. 15. 15. Please consider your fellow golfer and do not drive in the vicinity of golfers who are putting or are about to strike the ball. 16. No “hitting the skids”, wheelies or other course damaging driving. 17. In order to protect the course and provide the best playing for all golfers, the management committee has implemented the following: a) Members who breach the policy will receive a written warning. b) When a further breach of the policy occurs; the Member will be subject to a ban from driving or riding in/on carts within the course and grounds of the Club for a period of one (1) month or otherwise at the complete discretion of the Match Committee or Board of Directors. c) Any subsequent breaches will require the member to meet with the Match Committee to explain their actions. The Match Committee may take further disciplinary action. These are severe penalties, and it is hoped we will never have to use them. So, enjoy your golf, enjoy your cart, but please be very mindful of the welfare of yourself, others and the course when using a cart. .

VOLUNTEERS The Parkes Golf Club would like to thank all of the Volunteers that provide much needed resources, energy and work to ensure the PGC continues to provide a great place to play and enjoy the game of golf. A special mention is made of the Parkes Veterans Golf Association & the Board of Directors for their tireless endeavours on the course, clubhouse and administration. Your efforts often go unrewarded, however they are always noticed and appreciated and without your continued support and direction, the PGC would not be as great as it currently is …THANKS!!
