Required Liability Release and Risk Assumption In consideration of being allowed to ride horseback and/or to participate in any equine activities on these premises, the undersigned (and parent or guardian if rider is a minor) agrees to assume all risks and to indemnify and to hold harmless Oak View Stables, its owners, the owners of school horses, and all other owners of land on which Oak View Stables conducts its shows, classes and/or any land which the undersigned may ride and use, and all liability, damages, costs, attorney fees or expenses, whether by judgement or settlement, arising from or in any way connected with the personal injury or death of the undersigned rider or his or her horse, incurred, suffered, sustained or inflicted during the equine activites conducted or sponsored by Oak View Stables or any other authorized or unauthorized riding activity on the premises of Oak View Stables or other land which may be used in connection with such horseback riding. AGREE AND HOLD HARMLESS: I understand that this is a high-risk sport and am participating at my own risk. I acknowledge that the rules applicable to this competition have been made available to me and if applicable, to my child, and that I agree that Oak View Stables has the right to refuse any entry for cause. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this competition, I agree to defend and hold harmless Oak View Stables, and its owners, agents, owners of school horses, and owners of land, on which the competition is to be conducted and any employees of the aforementioned parties, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of my (my child’s) horse by disappearance, theft, death, or otherwise and from any claim for damage or injury to any horse, caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of Oak View Stables or any of the other parties aforementioned or by any other person or any other causeor causes. I hereby assume the sole responsilbiliy for and agree to defend, indemnify, and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense, including myself(my child),or on account of damage to this competition, however such injuries,death or damage to property may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been or may be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any other persons. Pony Hunter Open to ponies ridden by a junior rider. Age restrictions as Cavaletti, Beg. Walk-Trot, Beg. Canter, X-rails to Verticals, Mini Stirrup, Very Green, Rusty Stirrup, Open Hunter, Short Stirrup, Long Stirrup, Pre specified in USEF Pony Hunter. Fences 2’ for small & medium ponies, and Child/Adult, Pony Hunter, Low Hunter, Baby Green, Modified Hunter, 2’6” for large ponies. Child/Adult Hunter, Jumpers, Mini Medals and Equitation on the Flat. Modified-Child/Adult Hunter Open to any Jr. or Amateur on a horse or pony. A Division must fill in 4 shows to receive a Year-End Award. Fences 2’6’’- 2’9”.
