Classics with a designated first round will be marked with an * on the schedule. Only the top 12 horses with the highest scores from the first will be invited for the classic round. ALL horses MUST BE entered by the start of the first round. “Add’s at gate” for classics will be charged $30. Formal attire required. Marshall & Sterling Adult Hunter Classic — Sat-Sun 1001 $50 $500 M&S NAL Designated first round. Must be entered in entire Adult Hunter Division to enter classic. Fences 3'. Require 6 entries to fill. Must be entered by Saturday before the division starts, no refund for scratching after the first round. Marshall & Sterling Children's Hunter Classic — Sat-Sun 1002 $50 $500 M&S NAL Designated first round. Must be entered in entire Children’s Hunter Division to enter classic. Fences 3'. USHJA National Hunter Derby 3' — Sat 1006 $250 $5,000 Member event of the 2019 National Hunter Derby Program. In order for National Hunter Classic points to beawarded, riders must complete a USHJA Exhibitor Declaration Form. If the Exhibitor Declaration Form is not complete and submitted to the show office at the time of entry or at least one hour prior to the start of the class, riders will not receive points for the National Hunter Classic. Fences 3’ with 3’3”-3’5” options. Top 12 MUST ride for ribbons or forfeit prize money. Scratch fee: $75. Jumper Classics All jumper classes listed below require entry in at least one other class at the horse show. Nomination fees in specified classes will only be assessed once regardless of the number of classes entered. “Add’s at gate” for classics will be charged $30. Formal attire required. All jumper classics require at least 10 entries to fill, unless otherwise specified. Refer to schedule for table and scoring information. Children’s Adult Jumper Classic-.90m — Sun 1009 $75 $500 Must have entered in at least one class in either the Children’s or Adult division at the show. Formal attire required. Class maybe split with equal prize money in each section if entries warrant. No horse/rider cross entry into the Child/Adult Jumper Prix. Must have 6 entries to fill. Children’s Adult Jumper Prix- 1.10m — Sun 1010 $100 $2,000 M&S NAL WIHS Must have entered in at least one class in either the Children’s or Adult division at the show. Formal attire required. Scratch fee: $50. Must have 6 entries to fill. Northampton Classic- 1.20m — Sat 1013 $350 $7,500 Must have entered in at least one class at the show at or above 1.10m. Order for this class will be randomized with post entries starting first, riders with multiple rides will be spaced appropriately. Formal attire required. Scratch fee: $75. 5
Class List outreach horse show division/class/Fence height class numbers class fee Rating All Championships titles shall be awarded based on a 10, 6, 4, 2, 1, .5 point structure. *Indicates first round of classic. The last class number will be the under saddle or flat class. No combinations unless required. Unless specifications are modified below, the rules governing each division will default to the listed “Recognized by” organization’s current rulebook. In the event of over lapping rules management reserves the right to modify any or all class specifications prior to start of the division. Outreach Hunter Divisions (501-560) Beginner Hunter/USHJA OR Crossrail Hunters 501, 502, 503, 504, 506 $30 WNE-PHA To be shown over a course of a minimum of 4 fences and a maximum of 8 fences at a height of 18”. The fences shall be cross rails or verticals with no combinations. The Under Saddle class will be shown at a walk, trot and canter. Rider not to compete in any other class that requires jumping fences any higher than 2’. Low Child/Adult Hunter 2'9" 507, 508, 509, 510 $35 Riders may not enter any class over 3' at the same show. Low NOHO Hunter 2'3" 511, 512, 513 $35 NOHO Hunter 2'6" 514, 515, 516 $35 Open to all horses and ponies, professionals and junior/amateurs. Modified JR/Amateur Hunter 2'6" 517, 518, 519, 520, 521 $35 WNE-PHA Open to all juniors and amateurs. No horse restrictions. Horse/rider combinations who enter this division at a given show may not enter any other class at the show in which the fence height exceeds 2'6". Novice Adult Hunter 2'3" 522, 523, 524, 525 $35 Open to horses and ponies ridden by amateurs 18 years of age or over. Riders may not cross enter into any other class that exceeds 2'6" at the same show. To be shown over a course of not less than 8 obstacles; not to exceed 2'3". No combination. Novice Children’s Hunter 2'3" 526, 527, 528, 529 $35 Open to all riders eligible for Limit Equitation. Novice Child/Adult Hunter/USHJA 2'3" Hunter 530, 531, 532, 533, 534 $35 WNE-PHA Open to Junior/amateur riders in this division may not cross enter into classes in which fence height exceeds 2’6” at the same show. Pre Child/Adult Hunter/USHJA 2' — Thurs 535, 536, 537 $35 WNE-PHA, MHC, USHJA Pre Child/Adult Hunter/USHJA 2' — Fri 538, 539, 540 $35 WNE-PHA, MHC, USHJA Open to any horse or pony ridden by an adult or junior who has NEVER competed over 2'6" fences in ANY previous show years. Restricted Special Hunter 2'6" 543, 544, 545 $35 CDHJC, MHC Open to Adult Amateur and Junior riders who as of December 1st of the current show year have not won six (6) blue ribbons at a recognized show at 3' or higher. Riders who have won six blue ribbons are eligible for this division if, as of December 1st of the current show year, they have not shown in classes with fences 3' or higher at more than three (3) recognized horse shows within the past two years. Those entering this division at a given show are not eligible for any other class in which fence height exceeds 2'9" at that show. Outreach Hunt Seat Equitation Divisions Competitors in these divisions shall be juniors or amateurs only as specified. For horse show purposes, the age of a Junior Exhibitor on December 1st shall be maintained throughout the entire year. Maiden Equitation 2' 571, 572, 573 $35 Modified Child/Adult Equitation 2'6" 574, 575, 576, 577, 578 $35 Open to Adult Amateur and Junior riders who as of December 1st of the current show year have not won 6 blue ribbons at a recognized show at 3' or higher. At the same show, the same horse/rider or pony/rider combination may not cross enter into any class that exceeds 2'3". Beginner Equitation CrossRails 599, 600, 601 $30 CDHJC, MHC, WNEPHA Not to compete in any other equitation class at any show and has not competed in a jumping class over 18" in height, with the exception of equitation classes where fence height does not exceed 2'. Simple changes will not be penalized. Maybe split by age if there is 6 in each section. An adult is required to lead the entry. The course will consist of hunter classic and hunter handy style lines, turns and jumps. The judge will use the open numerical scoring system, with one point given for each high option fence jumped successfully (no knockdowns or refusals). No more than 3 option/bonus points may be awarded. 8

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT For and in consideration of United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. dba US Equestrian (“USEF”) allowing me, the undersigned, to participate in any capacity (including as a rider, driver, handler, vaulter, longeur, lessee, owner, agent, coach, official, trainer or volunteer) in a USEF sanctioned, licensed or approved event or activity, including but not limited to equestrian clinics, practices, shows, competitions and related or incidental activities and ________________________________(“USEF Northampton Hunter & Jumper Horse Show Event” or “USEF Events”); I, for myself, and on behalf of my spouse, children, heirs and next of kin, and any legal and personal representatives, executors, administrators, successors,, and assigns, hereby agree to and make the following contractual repre- sentations pursuant to this Agreement (the “Agreement”): A. WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY, HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNITY: In conjunction with my participation in any USEF Event, I hereby release, waive and covenant not to sue, and further agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the following parties: USEF, USEF Recognized Affiliate Associations, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), USEF clubs, members, Event participants (including athletes/riders, coaches, trainers, judg- es/officials, and other personnel), the Event owner, licensee, and competition managers; the promoters, sponsors, or advertisers of any USEF Event; any charity or other beneficiary which may benefit from the USEF Event; the owners, managers, or lessors of any facilities or premises where a USEF Event may be held; and all directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, and volunteers of any of the aforementioned parties (Individually and Collectively, the “Released Parties” or “Event Organizers”), with respect to any liability, claim(s), demand(s), cause(s) of action, damage(s), loss, or expense (including court costs and reasonable attorney fees) of any kind or nature (“Liability”) which may arise out of, result from, or relate in any way to my participation in the USEF Events, including claims for Liability caused in whole or in part by the negligent acts or omissions of the Released Parties.
