A horse of any age and is not restricted by previous showing in any division.

To be judged on performance and soundness. Courses will consist of at least eight High Performance Hunter 4’

Horses competing in the Welcome 1 and Welcome 2 shows during Week 1 will only
pay 1 set of show fees. (Excludes all USEF/USHJA fees)
Eligibility: Horses must have completed the course in at least 2 over fences classes
in the corresponding division at the same show. The first round will be a designated
class of each division. Horses must be entered in the Classic prior to first round. No

scratches will be allowed after the start of the first-round class. Top 12 scores return
for the second round in reverse order of score. In the case of a tie after the first round,
order of those tied will be drawn. In the case of an Overall Score tie, the second-round
score will serve as the tie breaker.
Six (6) entries are required in order to run a Hunter Classic. If there are fewer than
6 (six) entries in any Hunter Classic prior to the first round, it may be combined or
cancelled.

Management reserves the right to change to a Hunt ‘n Go format if time/entries warrant.
Eligibility: Horses may not cross into the USHJA International Hunter Derby. Horses must
have competed in at least 1 over fences class at the same show. Riders may not enter the
Junior/Amateur Derby and the Open Derby at the same show.
Order of Go: Order of Go for the first round will be drawn. Order of Go for the Second Round
will be reverse order of scores from the First Round. If a jump off is needed, order will be the
same from the Second Round.
Attire: Formal jacket required. Buff breeches and shad belly, white breeches and dark or
scarlet coat or hunt colors.
Schooling: During the class, all horses must be ridden in official schooling areas. Riders must
wear their horse’s competition number.
Rider Meeting: A Rider Meeting will be held before the start of the class.
Specifications:
Round 1: Classic Hunter Style Round over a course of at least 10 obstacles set at 3’. At the end
of each horse’s round, judges will give a numerical score. In addition, each judging panel
must award an Option Bonus Score consisting of one additional point for every higher height
option jumped. Option Fences set at 3’5”. Scores will be added to determine the total first
round score. Top 12 return for the Second Round. Ties for 12th broken by base score.
Round 2: Handy Hunter Round over a course of at least 8 obstacles set at 3’. Handiness is
worked into the base score. In addition, Option Bonus Score consisting of one additional
point for every higher height option jumped. Option Fences set at 3’5”. The scores will be
combined for the total Second Round.
Scores from Round 1 & 2 will be added to determine overall winners. Ties for all places other
than 1st to be broken by the base score from the Second Round. Ties for 1st will be broken by
a Third Round.
Ribbons, Points and Awards: The top 12 overall are required to ride for ribbons in order to
receive prize money.
In order for HOTY bonus points/money to be awarded, riders must complete the USHJA
Exhibitor Declaration Form, which must be filled out in the office by the end of the competi-
tion. Only one hunter section may be declared. Only Amateur or Junior riders may declare
for their applicable Junior/Amateur Owner sections.

States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (the “Federation”) and the local rules of the competition. I agree to be bound by the Bylaws and Rules of the Federation and of the competition. I will Hay/Bedding

ENTRY AGREEMENT - Release, Assumption of Risk, Waiver, and Indemnification. This document waives important legal rights. Read it carefully before signing. I AGREE in consideration for my participation in this Competition to the
following: I AGREE that the “Competition” as used herein includes the USHJA and Competition Management, as well as all of their officials, officers, directors, employees, agents, personnel, volunteers and affiliates. I AGREE that I
choose to participate voluntarily in the Competition with my horse, as a rider, handler, longeur, lessee, owner, agent, coach, trainer, or as parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor. I am fully aware and acknowledge that horse sports and
the Competition involve inherent dangerous risks of accident, loss, and serious bodily injury including broken bones, head injuries, trauma, pain, suffering, or death. (“Harm”). I AGREE to hold harmless and release the USHJA and the
Competition from all claims for money damages or otherwise for any Harm to me or my horse and for any Harm of any nature caused by me or my horse to others, even if the Harm arises or results, directly or indirectly, from the
negligence of the USHJA or the Competition. I AGREE to expressly assume all risks of Harm to me or my horse, including Harm resulting from the negligence of the USHJA or the Competition. I AGREE to indemnify (that is, to pay any
losses, damages, or costs incurred by) the USHJA and the Competition and to hold them harmless with respect to claims for Harm to me or my horse, and for claims made by others for any Harm caused by me or my horse while at the
Competition. I understand that I am entitled to wear protective equipment without penalty, and I acknowledge that the USHJA strongly encourages me to do so while WARNING that no protective equipment can guard against all

Ties: All ties involving first place shall be jumped off. Ties for other than first place shall

Championships: Championships will be awarded in all jumper divisions with at least
3 classes except .70m - 1.05m. Jumper champion/reserve will be calculated by points $500 1.10m Jumper $1,000 1.30m Jumper
from each of the division classes using the 10 - 6 - 4 - 2 - 1 - .5 system. Class Fee: $60 Class Fee: $80
