Great leaders are also great mentors and coaches. This highly engaging and practical Masterclass is designed for any woman who is committed to supporting the development of other women. Focussing on what makes up the mindset, skillset and toolkit of an effective coach you will learn some of the practical methods highly skilled coaches use to help others increase their self-awareness, improve their impact and results whilst also increasing engagement and overall team performance.
Facilitated by our incredible facilitator NELL WILSON, Executive Coach, Leadership Development, Consultant, Women In Leadership Specialist, Nell Wilson Consulting Nell Wilson is a globally experienced and accredited Executive Coach, Leadership Development Specialist and expert in Women’s Leadership Development. She has held leadership and learning and development roles for over 25 years in the corporate sector in a variety of Australian multi-national organisations. Nell has worked with hundreds of Executives, Senior Leaders and teams across the private, public, not-for-profit and NGO sectors and has designed and delivered advanced leadership development programs for leaders in the UK, US and Australia with over 3000 hours of Executive Coaching to date. MASTERCLASS AGENDA 8:30AM: REGISTRATION | 9:00AM: START > 9:00AM ADOPTING THE MINDSET OF A COACH To effectively empower others around you to grow, you need to be able to identify the difference between mentoring, coaching and sponsorship relationships. In this first session, you will learn the qualities of each of these relationships any introduce you to some key techniques for giving feedback. Key Learning Outcomes • Define effective Coaching mindsets • Articulate the key competencies and qualities of effective Coaches • Describe the differences between coaching, mentoring, and sponsorship • Practice identifying different coaching approaches using different case studies • Discuss and practice a variety of feedback techniques; 12:30PM: LUNCH > 1:30PM EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION AND GOAL SETTING FOR COACHES An effective coach does more than provide advice. They equip their coachee with the ability to self-identify problems and goals and plan out the steps to success. In this second session, you will delve into key techniques for communicating effectively with your coachee and empowering them to gain skills they need to succeed. • Utilise the GROW Coaching Framework • Utilise a variety of listening techniques • Practice coaching and also have the experience of being coached • Help others get ‘unstuck’ and determine different ways to solve their own problems • Explore how to manage challenging behaviours in coaching conversations. 5:00PM: END OF DAY For the in person training courses, lunch, morning and afternoon tea will be provided for all attendees. Morning tea will be at 10:30am, lunch will be at 12:30pm afternoon tea will be at 3:30pm.
