TH 58 Sponsorship Benefits Exciting and unique opportunities available for corporate partnerships while advancing the vital mission of Little City. HONORING NANCY & TIMOTHY DESMOND MONDAY, JUNE 21, 2021 | WWW.LITTLECITY.ORG/LCI Twin Orchard Country Club | Long Grove, IL
2021 LITTLE CITY HUMANITARIAN AWARD HONOREES NANCY & TIMOTHY DESMOND Little City is honored and delighted to present Nancy and Timothy Desmond with the 2021 Humanitarian Award. The award — given annually at the Little City Invitational — honors outstanding professionals who have made incredible contributions of time, talent and treasure to support and empower people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Nancy and Timothy Desmond embody those qualities to the fullest. Nancy and Timothy have been lifelong professionals in the building and creating business. Timothy, currently the Senior Vice President at Project Management Advisors, has more than 35 years experience in corporate real estate, overseeing everything from luxury condominiums and major hotels and convention centers, to managing billion-dollar developments. Nancy has found incredible success on the architectural side of real estate, working for major corporations like McDonald’s before launching her own architectural firm — Nancy Desmond Associates — which has been building and designing in the Chicagoland area for more than 30 years. Nancy is also an accomplished artist, launching her own art studio — Deerpaths Studio — in 2005. But for all their incredible success in building and creating, perhaps the most important thing they have built is a home for their son Kevin and so many others like him. Kevin, a longtime resident of Little City, has flourished since coming to the organization, enjoying success and personal growth through programs like Special Olympics, choir and services at the Center for Employment & Business Opportunities. Kevin’s success is a direct testament to the dedication and contributions of his parents. Whether it is commitment to events like the Little City Invitational or service on the Little City Board of Directors, Nancy and Timothy have been instrumental in making Little City what it is today and building a better future for those with developmental disabilities. “Nancy and Timothy have done so much for Little City and continue to show that dedication each and every year,” said Shawn Jeffers, Little City Executive Director. “Anyone who has spent some time at Little City has a Kevin Desmond story and that is because he is such an outgoing, charismatic and genuinely nice person. Kevin’s friendship and care for others is a reflection of what we see in his parents year after year. We are lucky to have them in the Little City family.” LEARN MORE AT WWW.LITTLECITY.ORG/LCI | FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES, CONTACT STEPHANIE DARNELL AT SDARNELL@LITTLECITY.ORG
