1.0 INTRODUCTION
Civil and Geotechnical Associates was established in 2012 and CAGA
Consultants Pte. Ltd. was setup in 2016 to take over the business of the Civil and
Geotechnical Associates. The company has been actively contributed to the
built environment in Singapore since then. The company has been actively
involved in providing civil, geotechnical and structural engineering consulting
service in the residential, institutional and infrastructure projects. It is led by a
group of committed and responsible professionals. Currently, the company has
total 11 key personnel, including 6 Design Engineers, 2 BIM Engineers, 1
Administrator, 1 Contract Executive and 1 Higher Technical Officer.
Our Mission is to adopt Company’s Principle of Consultancy using one Method
– Past, Now and Future, to achieve the Company’s Vision.

2.0 Institution Building Projects:

1. A&A to Existing 5th Storey Roof Deck to Childcare Centre at Blk 119 Edgefield Plains,
Punggol – 6 million project.
- Erection of 2 storey childcare centre using structural steel above the existing roof deck of an
existing 5-storey multi storey carpark. Checking of the existing structure, adopt steel structure
and design the new steel columns on top of the existing RC columns to minimise the additional
loading on to the existing structure and avoid strengthening works.
2. Addition of five single storey shelters between existing block A and C at Institute of
Technical Education College East Development at Simei Avenue
- The shelters are made of structural steel in 3D shape and long cantilever length of 7m.
3. Change of use cum A&A to former bus interchange to educational centre, clinic and
institutional at Serangoon Central
4. Enclosure Screen for food waste recycling machine at existing open cark parking spaces

- Adopt Full Top-Down construction using Secant Pile Wall and Contiguous Bored Pile Wall
with RC beams and slabs as temporary and permanent struts and walers for the deep
excavation.
- General excavation depth is at 14.7m from existing ground level and the deepest excavation
depth is at 23.1m from the existing higher ground level at rear of the project.
- The biggest challenge is to control lateral movements and settlements in order not to affect
the adjacent buildings including existing temple and condominiums with deep foundation and
shallow raft foundation.
2. Development of existing Mandai Camp II at 450 Mandai Road – 30 million project.
- Involve erection of five single storey RC buildings, one single storey building with RC roof
and provision for future extension to a 4-storey building and one 4-storey structural steel
building with RC concrete roof. Adopt deep foundation using driven RC piles.
