There is a three-bay return making it an L plan. The entrance has been moved to the side and has late-19th Century, foliate jambs. Kilbride Country Kilbride Td Gothic-revival composition by 01- 01 Manor House Thomas Cobden of circa 1840 02 House being the rebuilding of an earlier house with mullioned windows, gables, crenellations and turrets. At the rear are two enclosed yards of stables and outhouses. Tinode Tram Tinode Td A mid-19th Century, three-bay, two- 01- 01 The Lamb Station storey building of coursed-rubble 03 granite with brick dressings, a double-arched window in a central, advanced bay. Tinode Country Tinode Td A house of circa 1860 designed by 01- 01 House House William Caldbeck in a Venetian- 04 gothic revival style, of granite ashlar. The entrance front is asymmetrical, of a single storey with wide eaves over the entrance while the garden front is of five bays and two storeys with a gabled breakfront and a half-octagon bow. Glencree Former Aurora Td A large complex of buildings 02- 02 reformatory military including St. Kevin’s Catholic 01 barrack Church – a mid-19th Century single s, cell of ashlar granite; the main Reform block which is H-plan, of three atory. storeys in the centre and four at the Now ends. The walls are rough-cast with reconcili granite dressings to the windows ation and doors. Enniskerry Detache Cookstown Circa 1840, gothic-revival house of 03- 03 Church Hill d House Td three-bays, and two-storeys with 02 Curam rendered and painted walls, an L- plan façade with two gables, pierced barge-boarding and the porch tucked into the re-entrant corner. Powerscourt School Cookstown L-plan, school house, originally the 03- 03 National Td master’s residence and the school 03 School room, with painted, rough-cast walls, Mullioned windows on the ground floor, gable-ended with eaves and pierced barge-boarding. Semi- Cookstown Three-bay, two-storey, gothic- 03- 03 Clonlea, detache Td revival house of circa 1840 with 05 Church Hill d House painted, smooth-rendered walls, triple-sash, mullioned windows on the ground floor and double sash windows on the first floor, gables with pierced barge-boarding, porch, hipped roof with natural slates and diagonally-set stacks. Enniskerry. Church Cookstown T-plan church of opus incertum, 03- 03 St.Patrick’s Td granite ashlar with a tower and 06 Church of broach spire on the north side and Ireland a porch on the south side. The Church windows are 13th Century-revival in style with lancets in the transepts and mullioned windows in the nave. The church is dated 1859. It has an advanced, gabled bay which contains the doorcase and the doorcase for the next house. There is one other gable. The doorcase is in an advanced bay and the other gable is under a gable which has a high-pitched roof. It is painted and lime rendered with Georgian panes in sash windows, a simple square-headed doorcase, wide eaves with paired brackets and natural slates on the roof. Enniskerry Library Knocksink Built as a library in 1911, it is a 03- 03 Carnegie Td single storey building with a gabled, 20 Library advanced bay for the entrance, painted, rough-cast walls, cement, classical-revival doorcase, coat of arms, brick dressings, quoins and wide eaves. Enniskerry Orname Knocksink In the centre of the village is a 03- 03 Main Street ntal Td square-plan, two stage tower of 21 Clock Tower Tower granite ashlar with a base, channelled first stage, ashlar second stage, cornice, pediments and octagonal drum to a copper dome. The arch gates Td has unusual ribbed rustication, iron gates, pedestrian gates and piers with balls and granite walls. Knockmore Country Cookstown Mid-19th Century, single-storey, 03- 03 Enniskerry House Td Italianate villa with rendered and 30 painted walls with a five-bay faced, tetrastyle, porch/portico, tall, transom and mullioned windows, bracketed eaves and hipped roof. Blundell Hill Former Cookstown The hotel appears to have been 03- 03 Enniskerry Hotel Td built at three periods: first the 31 (now central section of five bays and three two-storeys, then the eastern separat section of five bays and the third e section which is later again with a houses) full-height half-hexagon bow. . Kate O’Brien wrote her last novel in the hotel. Sir Laurence Olivier stayed there while filming Henry V. Kilcroney Country Kilcroney Extensive, tudor gothic-revival 03- 03 House House Td house of circa 1850 designed by 35 Daniel Robertson for Dr Lloyd, Provost of Trinity. It is built of granite ashlar with transom and mullioned windows, drip labels, crenellations, gables and pinnacles. On the right-hand side is a four- stage tower and out offices which are designed to look like the main Volume 2 Record of Protected Structures 7

This 36 Legardine house was the residence of Sir Restaurant Basil and Lady Goulding at which stage it had been redesigned by Michael Scott and Partners. 03- 03 Goulding House Cookstown Modern style cantilevered 37 House / Newtown summerhouse on the well-wooded (Rathdown banks of the River Dargle, built in Barony) 1972 to designs by Ronald Tallon. Baltyboys Country Ballinahow A large, early-19th Century house of 05- 05 House House n Td five bays and two storeys with a 01 pedimented breakfront, square- headed doorcase, Wyatt window above, smooth rendered and painted walls, cornice and hipped roof. Blessington Church Blessingto Mid-19th Century, gothic-revival 05- 05 Main Street n Td church of opus incertum with 06 Church of pointed windows and a steep- Ireland pitched roof. The tall, three-stage Church tower, probably late 17th Century, has a distinct batter, rendered walls and simple pinnacles. Blessington Hall Blessingto An early-19th Century, five-bay, 05- 05 Main Street n Td single-cell of coursed-rubble stone 07 Former with a gabled porch and a bellcote. Catholic The windows are square-headed Church and the roof slated. Blessington House Blessingto A tall, three-bay, three-storey, 05- 05 Main Street and n Td gable-ended house with a distinct 08 ‘Dempsey’ Shop batter to the rendered walls, natural slates and end stacks. Charleville Country Charleville Nine-bay, two-storey house built in 07- 07 House House Demesne 1797 to designs by Whitmore Davis 04 Enniskerry Td for General Monck. It has a three- storey, pedimented breakfront. The walls are of granite ashlar with the breakfront rusticated on the ground floor to support an engaged, ionic portico. Powerscourt Country Powerscou Main residence by Richard Castle 07- 07 House rt circa 1740. The north front is of 11 Demesne granite ashlar, rising from a rustic Td (raised basement) with a pedimented, engaged portico of six, Corinthian columns on a façade of nine bays and three storeys. Attributed to Sir Richard Morrison. Belmont Country Belmont Italianate house of circa 1860 with 08- 08 House House Demesne five-bay, two-storey façade over a 05 (Belvedere Td high basement, painted, lined and School) rendered façade with gabled breakfront, enclosed porch, windows with bracketed cornices, bracketed eaves and hipped roof. Cherry Dwelling Delgany A vernacular, four-bay, two-storey, 08- 08 House House Td gable-ended farmhouse with white- 07 Killincarrig washed walls, enclosed porch and Delgany slated roof. There is a wide, two- storey advanced bay at the left- hand end. Delgany Ruined Delgany Graveyard which is raised above 08- 08 Old Church Td the level of the road. There is the 08 Graveyard and ruin of a medieval church and a Graveya cross. rd Delgany Dwelling Delgany Simple, three-bay, two-storey 08- 08 Health House Td house with painted, rendered walls, 09 Centre raised quoins, wide windows on the ground floor with drip labels and keystones and a keystone on the doorcase. Delgany School Delgany A four-bay, single-storey school 08- 08 Old School Td with cemented walls and 11 House segmental-headed windows set in round-headed, blank arches and a hipped roof. Delgany Hand Delgany Hand pump sited in a niche to the 08- 08 Pump Td west of the cross roads. Inscribed ‘ 12 John Burns Plumber Bray, 1884.’ Delgany Public Delgany Two-bay, two-storey house dated 08- 08 Main Street House Td 1856, with painted walls and gables 13 Wicklow with pierced barge-boarding. Arms Delgany House Delgany An L-plan house with painted 08- 08 Main Street Td rough-cast rendering and a half- 14 Arts and timbered gable. On the right-hand side is a mid-19th Century chapel built of granite ashlar. Delgany, Church Delgany Spacious, church with a wide 08- 08 Christchurch Td transept on the north side and a 16 Church of three-stage, west tower rising Ireland through the west gable. The walls Church are rough-cast with granite string courses, clasping buttresses, crenellations and pinnacles on the tower. Delgany, Dwelling Delgany A substantial, early-18th Century, 08- 08 Old Rectory House Td three-bay, two-storey, gable-ended 18 house with rough-cast walls and a pie-crust, brick cornice. There is a flanking tower on the north-west corner and the enclosed porch is a later addition. Malvern, Dwelling Delgany Complex house with three sections: 08- 08 Delgany House Td by the road is a three-bay, two- 19 storey block with tall first-floor windows with Georgian glazing, a pointed window on the side wall and a parapet hiding the roof; then an earlier section with lime- rendered walls and tripartite windows and at the rear a three- bay, two-storey section over a basement and with a hipped roof. The rear has a full-height bow with a mid-18th Century, granite doorcase. Large, four-bay wings were added in the early-19th Century with pedimented pavilions. The interior contains rococo plasterwork. Rathsallagh Country Rathsallag Two-storey, early-19th Century, U- 14- 14 House House h plan range now in multiple 01 Demesne occupation. Rendered walls, sash Td windows with Georgian glazing and roof with natural slates. This was not the original house.
