Parish Pastoral Plan 2021 What is it? For the better part of a year, Father Ray and our Parish Pastoral Council have been revising St. Ann's pastoral plan, a road map for our community which flows from the parish mission statement. It is the organizing principle for the life and ministry of St. Ann, said Father Ray. Why now? "Our goals were to make the plan simple, straightforward and easily usable by all members of the parish," said Christine Stoltz, a PPC member. "This plan is interactive; it invites individuals, families and ministries to discover the pillars they are engaged in and the opportunities to incorporate other pillars into their faith life." What does this mean? This summer, we offer you a deeper understanding The Catholic Church of St. Ann is a of our mission statement’s four pillars: word, worship, works and sacrament. La Salette parish family dedicated We started with word, and continue with worship and sacrament, two intimately to reconciliation through worship, interconnected areas of our community life. Worship is the way we interact with word, works and sacrament. God through prayer. Sacraments are the ways we actively encounter Christ. How is God calling you? United in faith Our responsibilities as disciples of Christ Our pastor, Father Ray Cadran, urges a faith-based response to Covid precautions in his letter to the parish: “Jesus teaches us that all life is sacred, that we are to care for one another. Let this be the principal reason for cooperating with the health and safety requests that are being presented to us, especially by Archbishop Hartmayer: Get vaccinated and mask indoors if you cannot.” Read the full letter here: tinyurl.com/hwtmbay6. At its center stands Jesus, whose own story brings to fulfillment both God’s love for us and our love for God.” While reading scripture individually is an important part of prayer practice, discussing and sharing it with others as part of a small faith community, brings new perspectives and helps us to see how our story fits into God’s story of salvation.
