Happenings at Light of Christ • Friday Flicks: Join us on Friday, May 7 at 7PM for our monthly movie. This Friday, we will be watching the Oscar winning “Nomadland”. After losing everything in the Great Recession, a woman embarks on a journey through the American West, living as a van-dwelling modern-day nomad. Please contact the church office for zoom link information. • Eleventh Hour Bell-ringing Service: Please join us on Tuesday, May 11th at 11:00 AM for this month’s bell ringing service for environmental justice. The 11th Hour Project is an interfaith effort of people across Boulder County and the nation calling attention to the urgency of our climate crisis. We will gather in front of the church to pray and renew our commitment to care for our fragile planet while ringing the church bell eleven times. Join us in person or on the LoC Facebook page. If the weather is warm enough, we plan to bring a picnic lunch and gather outside after the service for informal conversation. We’d love to see you. • Graduate Blessing: We are looking for all of our graduates for a graduate blessing on Satur- day, May 15th. Please contact Fr. Teri if you or someone you know is graduating this year. Could be high-school, college, post-graduate or trade school graduation. We want to celebrate our graduates and bless them during Mass on Saturday, May 15th. • Save the Date - Pentecost and church birthday: For Light of Christ’s 16th birthday and Pente- cost Mass, we will be holding an in-person/drive-in celebration on May 22 at 5pm. As with previ- ous parking lot services, this will include a ‘bring your own bread’ communion. We will also have a limited number of areas for socially distanced families to bring chairs and sit together. As usual, we will also be broadcasting the celebration on Facebook live for those who cannot at- tend in person. So, bring your own bread, chairs for those not in cars, consider something for the sun and wear red for Pentecost as we gather together. • Spring/Summer Lawn mowing: As the spring showers help the grass grow, there are a few opportunities to help groom the grounds at the church. This year, we have five opportunities available, starting at the end of May. Please contact the church office to schedule a time. • Opportunities to gather: As the weather improves, we have new opportunities to have groups of less than 10 people to gather outside. If your group is interested in this, please contact Tim at the Church office to reserve space. • Did you know? All of our recent daily readings and services are archived and can be found on our website linked here. You can also join us for the live readings at 10AM or Saturday Mass at 5PM on Facebook . You do NOT have to have a facebook account to join. FB Link.
