On behalf of the Queensland Hand Surgery Society & the New South
Wales Hand Surgery Association we are thrilled to invite you to the
Welcome 2021 Combined Meeting. The meeting will be held at the Sofitel Noosa,
QLD, Thursday 25 - Sunday 28 November 2021.
This year we are honoured to have Dr PC Ho from Hong Kong as our
International Guest Presenter & Dr Greg Bain from South Australia as
our local Guest Presenter.
The meeting promises to have an outstanding and well balanced
academic program complemented by an engaging social program. Our
meeting enables us the opportunity to share knowledge, research &
ideas expanding the field of Hand Surgery.
Additionally, there will be symposia, seminars and invited lectures on
a broad range of topics; lively discussion is anticipated & encouraged.
We also have an exciting social program kicking off with the Welcome
Reception at the Sofitel Noosa & the Conference Dinner at Bistro C.
Plenty of opportunity for delegates and industry partners to network
personally and professionally.
We welcome members and associate members and encourage you all
to bring your families to enjoy a short break.

Noosa, QLD
Destination Noosa, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, is surrounded by stunning
beaches, lakes, national parks and the lush hinterland of Noosa National
Park. If you are looking for adventure, there’s plenty to do.
Hike across Noosa National Park’s cliffs and forests, canoe through the
Noosa River Everglades, kayak across the open sea or just bask in the
sunshine on golden sand that stretches and sparkles for miles.
Located a 90-minute drive north of Brisbane. The closest airport to
Noosa is the Sunshine Coast Airport which has multiple daily flights from
most major Australian capital cities. Noosa lies roughly a 35-minute
drive north of the airport.
Liability / Insurance
Registration fees don’t include insurance of any kind. Neither QHSS,
NSWHSA nor Taylored Images will accept liability for damages of any
nature (including financial) sustained by participants, or loss or damage
to their personal property in the event of industrial disruptions or
natural disasters. It is highly recommended you take out a suitable travel
insurance policy including coverage for non refundable registration fees
when you register for the meeting and book your travel.

Scientific papers are invited for oral presentations. Authors should
submit abstracts written in English to Taylored Images no later than
Abstract 1700 (EST) on Friday 08 October 2021. Papers received after this date
will not be accepted for inclusion in this year’s program.
Submission All abstracts submitted are subject to review by the Scientific Program
Committee. Once abstracts have been accepted for presentation, no
changes will be accepted to their content.

• Leave two lines before commencing the body of the text
Section Headings and Paragraphs
• The title of each section is to be bold & left justified
• Leave a 6-space indentation at the beginning of each new
paragraph. Leave a 1 line space between each paragraph
• Graphs, tables and references may be used throughout the abstract
but must remain within the defined one-page limit

distribution of this brochure rooms at the Sofitel are selling online
starting from $608 per night room only.
Accommodation Cancellation Policy
A credit card must be provided with your registration to guarantee
accommodation. Your credit card number will be passed to the
accommodation venue but will not be debited unless you fail to arrive
on the date indicated without having advised Taylored Images of your
change in plans. As per hotel terms and conditions any accommodation
cancellations made after Friday 22 October 2021 will be subject to a
cancellation fee of 100% of accommodation cancelled.
Bookings after Friday 22 October 2021 will incur a $33 booking fee.
