Meet the Team Year 4 Staff Mrs Helsden Mrs Crick Miss Thorington Class Teacher LSA for year 4 Teacher trainee (Previously a Spanish and French GCSE/A- level teacher)
This year’s topics. This year at a glance: Q1- Anglo Saxons and Vikings- we will be understanding the settlements that happened after the Romans left the British Isles open for invasion from Scandinavian groups and how they lived. We will have a Viking visitor to help bring this to life and a letter will go out later in the quarter. Q2- France- We have a link with a French teacher and will be writing letters to children in France to ask about their lifestyle. We also have a great resource in Mrs Crick as she visited France to study there so can enlighten us even further. Q3- The Siege of Colchester- This is an in-depth topic that we are very lucky to be studying and involves many visits to the local areas of Colchester. Q4-Multiplication testing and our Geography topic- rivers. Studying many differing rivers around the county with walks around our local rivers. My local visit to the Lake District resulted in a lot of resources we can study about waterfalls.
