KIDS BICYCLE SKILLS RODEO (AGES 6-10) Kids 6-10 (with parent or guardian) can get a bike safety check-up, learn bike safety rules, and learn riding skills Saturday, June 25 at this fun event. Please arrive between 10am-10:30am You are invited to an in-person version of a “Kids Bicycle Skills to check in. Bring your child’s bike and helmet or use Rodeo.” Bike riding offers fun, freedom, and exercise. ARTS & MORE: KNITTING/MODELING & FASHION KNIT & CHAT SUMMER CAMP (AGES 7-12) This is a week-long, super fun class where knitting lessons are the main focus, and are designed to teach the creative art of knitting in a “non-frustrating” comprehensive, but fun, way. Give kids and tweens something to do besides video games on rainy days. No prior knitting experience needed. Learn to cast on, knit, purl and more. We’ll create a fashionable item as our main project, and more projects will be completed as time allows. Take advantage of the opportunity to be introduced to the game of field hockey. For more experienced players, take the avenue to elevate your daughter’s game and take her skills to the next level. The camp will be run by college bound players and current Newtown High School athletes and is under the direction of Field Hockey coach, Ellen Goyda. Our goal is to introduce your daughter to the game with emphasis on improving stick skills, offense and defensive game strategies and to develop an overall passion and love for the game. Campers will be grouped according to skill level. Campers must bring their own water, wear sneakers/cleats, a mouth guard, shin guards.
