We received an OSLAD Grant for this park as well in the amount of $400,000. We continue to look for alternate ways of funding to Ted Schulz, President provide the best parks for our community. The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to New Lenox Community Park District for its comprehensive annual financial report for our last fiscal year. This marks the thirteenth consecutive year that the New Lenox Community Park District’s Business Services Department has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. We continue to strive to clearly communicate our financial story to the community. Let’s turn our attention to what’s new in your Recreation Department. Brian Fischer, Vice President Dale Larson, Secretary As usual, we will be offering a large selection of programs during the upcoming winter months. Make sure to take advantage of our one- day-only special events from the Flashlight Clover Hunt to our Kids Fishing Derby. As always, the Program Guide is filled with a variety of activities designed for our whole community, so please take a few minutes to find an activity (or two) that fits your family’s needs. We also have a variety of Bus Trips to choose from, so sit back, relax and let us take care of the driving! The Sanctuary offers golf lessons and programs to fit all skill levels. Don’t forget to check out the special events we are offering.
