Fr. Dan Hoehn FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK T he final line from today’s Gospel reminds us of the most important task that Jesus gives to each of us as Christians: “Follow me!” For eight of our newest adult members of the Church, this “following of Jesus” has led them through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). Having met weekly since last October, these adults (who were baptized in various Protestant communities) were finally received into the Catholic Church through the sacraments of Confirmation and First Communion this past Sunday at the 10:45 Mass. Please welcome (and pray for!) St. Michael’s newest members, pictured below with their sponsors behind them. Our new members are (on the bottom step from left to right): Bethany Gates, Timothy Holmen, Helena Norman, Madelyn Helwig, Eric Rumsey, Christina Dittoe, Kate Myroup and Stacie Pierce. I am grateful for their perseverance and am now expecting big things of them!
