PASTOR’S NOTE Dear Parishioners: STAFF CONTACTS Today marks the opening of Catholic Schools Week. Each year we step back to celebrate Catholic Schools and the Director of Music & Liturgy unique place they hold in the life of the Church. I myself am a Paul Skevington 703 356 0670 product of Catholic Schools Ͷ I graduated from Saint Bede the Venerable on skevington@saintlukemclean.org the Southside of Chicago over 40 years ago. (It’s funny, I remember my Director of Faith Forma on mother going to a 40th year reunion when I was a teenager and thinking how Joyce Franklin 703 356 8419 ancient she was to be out of grade school 40 years!) I know that my parents made a great number of sacrifices in order to send my siblings and me to jfranklin@saintlukemclean.org Catholic School, and I am grateful for the founda/on that that educa/on has Director of Youth Ministry given me throughout my life. Tiffany Lambert 703 356 3092 So much has changed since I went to school all those years ago. Computers? tlambert@saintlukemclean.org Never saw one. It is hard to believe how much technology has enhanced the way our young people learn. One thing does remain the same Ͷ the values Parish Business Manager that we teach children and the founda/on of our Faith Ͷ the love of God. David Kranking 703 356 1255 Nothing can take the place of a solid Catholic educa/on. dkranking@saintlukemclean.org We as a parish have much to celebrate in our own parish school! Our school Parish Office Manager is currently filled to capacity, with a long wai/ng list. While it is unfortunate Judy Werner 703 356 1255 that we are unable to accommodate everyone who comes to us Ͷ it is a sign jwerner@saintlukemclean.org of the good things happening at Saint Luke. One of the greatest achievements this year has been our resump/on of inͲclass learning this past August which Parish Recep onist has con/nued through to today. The school has proven to be a safe Monica Guignard 703 356 1255 environment for our students and teachers because of the numerous recep/on@saintlukemclean.org precau/ons that have been set in place. Facili es Manager This week our school family will welcome Bishop Burbidge as he makes a Roberto Rocabado 703 356 4619 special visit to the school. He will celebrate Mass with the children and visit rrocabado@saintlukemclean.org classrooms. All of us are looking forward to this visit. Please join me in praying for the con/nued health and safety of our school community Ͷ and Faith Community Nurse for everyone involved in the work of Catholic educa/on. That includes each Mary Jo Frickel 571 999 4741 one of you Ͷ it is thanks to the generous support of Saint Luke parishioners mjfrickel@saintlukemclean.org that our school has con/nued to thrive.
