AboutUs
Since opening it’s gates in 1982, the Murieta Equestrian Center (MEC) has been
one of the largest privately-owned equestrian and event facilities in California.
MEC is located 24 miles east of downtown Sacramento in the community of
Rancho Murieta.
This versatile facility features:
• Main indoor arena with seating for 3,000 spectators
• Five indoor arenas ideal for year round events
• Two world class cutting arenas
• 12 outdoor arenas with high performance footing
• 1,000 stalls
• Acres of grassy park-like settings ideal for large events

Our facility hosts approximately 50 events annually with over 200,000 competitors and
spectators. Whether you are planning an equestrian competition, festival, concert, demon-
stration, wedding, horse clinic, or sports competition, we can accommodate events of all
shapes and sizes. We have the amenities to help make your event a success!

equestrian sports.
1982 2007-Current
The Anderson family purchased the Murieta A partnership between the Murieta Equestrian

large-scale outdoor events.

Amenities
Cares & Whoas offers the latest ‘glamour ranch’ fashions and furnishings. It is located in the heart of the Murieta Eques-
trian Center inside the Main Indoor Arena. Come shop for unique, equestrian inspired styles for your wardrobe or home
interior. Proceeds from Cares & Whoas benefit the West Coast Equine Foundation. Cares & Whoas is open during all
shows and events held at the Murieta Equestrian Center.
Our on-site café and bar provides a menu ranging from sandwiches to
gourmet salads, as well as customized catering menus. Located in the
center of the facility guests can enjoy their meal without missing any of
the action.
On-Site RV and Golf Cart Rentals
Coming to an event? For ease of travel, stay in one of our on-site RV campsites that has everything you need to make
your visit comfortable and enjoyable. Please contact Just Call Sven’s RV Rentals & Repairs at (916) 531-7123. You can also
rent golf carts from Gipson Golf Carts at (916) 806-0920 or Electric Golf Carts at (916) 488-8856.
