THE GOLF COURSE
Tulfarris is enjoying rave reviews from professionals and amateurs alike. The 18
hole championship golf course has seen an investment of over €1 million since
the property was bought by PREM Group in 2016. With an ongoing programme
of works in place for 2020 and beyond, new facilities include a new clubhouse
with coffee dock, fully stocked pro-shop, locker rooms, showers and bathrooms,
all located next to the dedicated golfer’s car park adjacent to the first tee.
Additional works include upgrades to the bunkers, greens, fairways and
enhancements to the general course aesthetics.
Standing by the shores of Blessington Lakes will leave you speechless. Set across
three peninsulas, renowned course architect Patrick J. Merrigan has created a
stunning 18-hole championship golf course paradise at Tulfarris. Test your

SIMON THORNTON TULFARRIS TOURING PROFESSIONAL European Tour winning professional golfer Simon Thornton was appointed as the touring professional at Tulfarris Golf Club in November 2017. Simon will assist in promoting the course as one of Ireland's premier golfing destinations. Simon's career began in Royal County Down as an assistant club professional. After progressing through the PGA Irish Region EuroPro Tour and paying on the Challenge Tour in 2009, Simon earned his European Tour card. In 2013, he claimed his first European Tour win at the Najetis Hotels et Golfs Open in France. Commenting on his appointment, Simon said "I am delighted to be working with Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort. The first thing I noticed when I played here was the quality and layout of the course which is really impressive. Tulfarris has all the ingredients to become one of the premier golfing destinations in Ireland. It's an exciting time for the resort and I am looking forward to being part of its success."

ABOUT THE PGA EUROPRO TOUR The PGA EuroPro Tour is a men’s developmental professional golf tour. The tour was created in 2002 when the two development tours – the EuroPro and PGA MasterCard Tours merged into one. Players primarily come from Ireland and the UK, with some also coming from Continental Europe, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Top 5 players by Order of Merit receive an invite to compete on the Challenge Tour. The start of many of the world’s most famous golfers have come through the PGA EuroPro Tour.
