Stage 1 Submission of the following: i) 1 Scrapbook (Section A: History of Singapore Guiding) Brownie Guider to ii) Pg. 3 & 4 of this booklet complete Brownie(s)’ registration and upload it iii) Certificate of Pack Holiday OR International Camp to http://bit.ly/CCAB2021Reg (to be achieved before the end of June 2021) iv) Section B: Outreach Programme: Brownie Ambassador Completed hardcopy scrapbook to be Introduce Brownie Programme to other students by: submitted to Brownie Guider Sharing positively about the Brownie programme or 3 guiding events that they have attended at Unit/ Division/ National Brownie Guider to make level. the hardcopy submission to Sharing at least 3 things (Skills/ Values) that they have learnt HQ by Saturday, from the Brownie Programme. 6 February 2021 (12pm) Submit reflection form on Page 6 with at least 2 photos 2. Stage 2 Online Submission for the following: i) Written test : Section C: Knowledge of Girl Guiding Candidate who has cleared Section D: Knowledge of Singapore and its people Stage 1 will be notified by ii) Section E: Reef Knot (Video) 2 March 2021 iii) 1 video together with planning form on Page 8 Submissions to be made by Section F: Brownie Can Lead Tuesday, 6 April 2021 File name must be submitted in this format: name of brownie_ school e.g. tanxiaoling_northbrooks 3. Stage 3 Chief Commissioner’s Badge Test *either via Zoom or F2F Section F: Brownie Can Lead (Oral Component) on 2-4 June 2021 Section G: My Guiding Journey (Oral Component) 4. Chief Commissioner’s Award Ceremony 24 July 2021 Note: 1. Brownies must pass Section A (Scrapbook) before they can proceed to Stage 2. 2. Brownies who are unable to proceed to Stage 2 will be given the Certificate of Participation. 3. The tester’s decision is final. 2
1 Chief Commissioner’s Badge 2021 Dear Brownies and Parents, The Chief Commissioner’s Badge is the highest level of achievement for a Brownie to work towards. It recognises the leadership qualities of the Brownie and one who has demonstrated the following: • strength of character and moral integrity; • commitment to the Brownie Promise, the Brownie Motto and the Brownie Laws; • and proficiency in the 5-Point Programme. A Chief Commissioner’s Badge Awardee is envisioned to be one who: • takes initiative and resourceful; • lives out our Motto, Law and Promise; • is confident and proficient in the 5-Point programme; • is an effective communicator; • is a team player. 1 Chief Commissioner’s Badge 2021 Notes for Guiders / Brownies Section A: History of Singapore Guiding (Scrapbook) To be submitted by 6 February 2021 Refer to History of GGS at http://girlguides.org.sg/about-ggs/history-of-ggs/ Compile an interesting scrapbook consisting of 5 important events in Singapore Guiding History and 3 activities / events that the Brownie has participated at National / Division / Unit level. Choose one event for every decade for events in Singapore Guiding History. Content - Describe the event with the year clearly indicated. 1. Description - Describe why the event was interesting or important to the Brownie - At least 1 value / skill that she had learnt from this event - how the values/ skills can be applied in her life to help others and herself 2. Reflection or - how she has applied the skills to help others and herself. Requirements Range of To have one event per decade – e.g. 1917, 1923, 1932,1946, 1951, 1967, Historic events 1974, 1988, 1992, 2004, 2011 selected Level of importance Must be a significant local Guiding event for Singapore Guiding History To include self-illustration, pictures and photos. Guiding related photos e.g. Thinking Day Presentation Can be Typewritten Content page with matching pages, starting from the earlier years Submission can be in hardcopy Assessment criteria 1. Chief Commissioner’s Badge 2021 1 Section B: Brownies Outreach Objectives: To provide a platform for Brownies to practice WAGGGS Leadership Mindsets (namely Collaborative Mindset, Creative and Critical Thinking Mindset). Task: Share positively about the Brownie programme or 3 guiding events that they have attended at Unit/ Division/ National level to girls who are not in Brownie CCA. or Share at least 3 things (skills/ values) that they have learnt from the Brownie programme/ activities to girls who are not in Brownie CCA. 6

Skill test component tested on :- a. Folding b. Tying of scarf c. Pinning of Golden Badge on scarf d. Neatness Section F: Brownie Can Lead Objectives: To appraise Brownie’s organisational and leadership skills Pre-Tests Requirements: - To plan and carry out a Brownie activity / school-related activity for at least 12 Brownies / participants - Activity can be a singing / game / skill session - Planned activity should be conducted within a time frame of 10 to 30mins - To submit a video that highlights the Brownie(s) in action The video recording of the activity and the softcopy of the template provided below must be submitted together with the other items above by 6 April 2021. It is compulsory to complete the template below with all required information. Brownie will be asked to verbally share their reflection after their submission. Compliancy: - The activity can be conducted individually or with a partner - Partner can be another CCA candidate - Both partnering CCA candidate submission must not be of similar or duplicate work 8 6

National Brownie Revel 2019 @ Nanyang Primary School / WTD Celebration 2019 at Our Tampines Hub) - You may choose one of the events you have included in your scrapbook - The Presentation should include the following : Requirements Year of events selected 2011 – 2020 Not any common event, must be local and Level of importance interesting (E.g. Division Day cannot be accepted) – Bring ONE item (e.g. photo, picture, WTD patch, etc.) Presentation – Presentation skills (eye contact, organisation) – Describe the event with the year clearly indicated. 1. Description – Describe why the event was interesting or important to the Brownie – At least 1 value / skill that she had learnt from this event – how the values/ skills can be applied in her life to help others and 2. Reflection herself or – how she has applied the skills to help others and herself. 10
