9/1/2020 HORRY COUNTY SC Focus on Responding to the 2020 Census Lindy Studds Media Specialist US Census Bureau Atlanta Region 1 1 SPEAKER BIO • Lindy Studds is a member of the 2020 Census Community Partnership and Engagement Program, which works to engage community partners to increase decennial census participation of those who are less likely to respond or are often undercounted. • Prior to joining the U.S. Census Bureau, Lindy spent more than 14 years in the newspaper industry with a focus on print and digital advertising and marketing. After each contact attempt, the enumerator will leave a “Notice of Visit” form encouraging households to respond via mail, phone, or online. After three days of attempting to contact someone at the address, an enumerator may begin contacting neighbors to request a proxy response for the nonresponding household.
