EXPEDITION TO MEXICO ROAR OF THE MONARCH
travel with purpose
                              for ECOLIFE

Take a trip of a lifetime to witness one of the
world’s most rare biological phenomena: the
monarch butterfly migration. Monarchs travel
from Canada to spend the winter in their
protected sanctuaries in the mountains of
Michoacán, Mexico. Butterfly wings create a
humming chorus - what we call the ‘ROAR OF
THE MONARCH’ - an experience like no other.

We invite you to indulge in regional, delicious
Mexican cuisine, be pampered in unique lodging,
and discover the historical and cultural features
distinct to the colonial cities of Michoacán. We
will visit local artisans of the region and explore
beautiful Morelia, Pátzcuaro, and Zitácuaro.

We invite you to experience the butterflies in
their full glory during our 2022 Mexico
Expedition. Alongside ECOLIFE staff, local guide
Alejandro Vilchis teaches you the true traditions
of Central Mexico.

Join us in 2022 for an adventure of monarchs
butterflies, people, and marvelous Michoacán!
