This month we are celebra ng Spring with a trip to activities please call
the Tesselaar Tulip Farm and our usual trip to Balwyn 9490 4222 at the start
Cinema to see “Johnny English Strikes Again”. of each month.
Bookings will open on 3rd September this month as UPCOMING IN
the 1st falls on the weekend. If anyone is missing a SEPTEMBER
purple /grey striped cardigan from our Xmas in July 5th September
trip, I have it ! Please give me a call to collect. Bookings open for

For readers who participate in Recreation Program activities
Booking and paying for ac vi es
Follow this step by step process.
1. Book your ac vity by contac ng Customer Service on 9490 4222 from 8.30am on the
1st business day of the month.
2. Payments must be made by the due date. (Please see each ac vity for due date).
Council's Customer Service Officer will issue you a receipt for your payment.
3. Present your receipt to the program organiser at the start of the each ac vity.
PLEASE NOTE: In the event that an ac vity has been planned and the temperature
reaches 35 degrees a decision to postpone the ac vity will be considered. You will be
no fied by phone on the day.
Par cipant's Informa on Form
If this is your first me a ending an ac vity, please complete the "Par cipant's
Informa on Form" on the back page of this newsle er and hand to Megan on your first
trip. It is important that Council maintain accurate and current records of par cipants
a ending our program for safety reasons.
You will no ce that there is a Privacy Statement at the end of the form that needs to be
read, signed and dated. This is for you to acknowledge that Banyule City Council is
keeping your personal details on file.
INCREASE
Due to a rise in the cost of transport, petrol and programming, prices of the ou ngs may
increase slightly from me to me.
CANCELLATION OF BOOKINGS
There will be no refunds given for Balwyn Cinema or half day trips unless cancelled 5
days prior to the event. This is due to Council being required to pre-pay for these ac vi-
es.
Full day trips cancella ons will only be given a credit for another ou ng.

Johnny English Strikes Again
The new adventure begins when a cybera ack re-
veals the iden es of all ac ve undercover agents in
Britain, leaving Johnny English as the secret service's
last hope. Called out of re rement, English dives
headfirst into ac on with the mission to find the
mastermind hacker. As a man with few skills and an-
alogue methods, Johnny English must overcome the
challenges of modern technology to make this mis-
sion a success.

Tesselaar Tulip Farm
Today we travel towards the Dandenong Ranges.
A er a morning tea stop en route we will visit The
Observatory, Mt Dandenong and have some me to
see the spectacular views across all of Melbourne.
On arrival in Olinda, we will enjoy a hearty 2-course
lunch at Mt Dandenong Hotel followed by a visit to
the Tulip Farm, Silvan to experience a li le part of
Holland in Australia. The hard toil of summer and
autumn and the long wait through winter is
rewarded with all the beauty, music and celebra on
of a European spring. Dutch Na onal Costumes,
Windmills and music compliment the thousands of
tulips, daffodils, and fragrant freesias crea ng a
tapestry of colour from all types of flowers. You may
also purchase spring me reminders for your home
and garden before depar ng for the trip home.

Car Parking
Ivanhoe pick up Location
The introduc on of new parking rules has come into 3
force at Council’s car park at Ivanhoe. There is now
only 3 hour parking. So if you need to park at Ivanhoe
during an ac vity you will need to:
1. Ask for a parking permit from Customer Service
when you pay for your ou ngs. Leave this on the dashboard of your car
on the day of ou ng or
2. When you arrive on the day of the ou ng present your receipt to Cus-
tomer Service and receive your parking permit to put in your car.
Permits will only be issued when paying for an ou ng or on presenta on of a
receipt.

Please be aware that it is impossible for Council’s Customer Service Call Centre
team to read out the newsle er over the phone.
The Customer Service Team takes thousands of calls a day and just do not have
