TERRAIN
We operate this trip in the Remarkables Mountain
Range, a stunning climbing arena which dominates the
skyline of Queenstown below. The range is home to a
wide selection of world-class rock, ice and mixed routes,
all within close proximity and easy access from town.
EQUIPMENT
Climbing in the Southern Alps requires the highest
quality clothing and equipment due to the potential

Your guide will go through an equipment checklist with
you at the beginning of your trip. Actual equipment taken
may vary subject to seasonal weather and route conditions.
All group equipment, including ropes and cooking
equipment, will be provided by Adventure Consultants.
TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION
For trips originating in Queenstown, your guide will
meet you at 8.30am at the base of the Remarkables

your accommodation.
Air New Zealand and Qantas/Jetstar provide daily
services to Queenstown from Auckland, Wellington and
Christchurch airports. There are also direct flights from
most major Australian cities.
A shuttle service operates several times daily between
Queenstown and Wanaka (approximately one hour
driving time and at a cost from NZ$35 each way), check
https://www.ritchies.co.nz/wanaka for details. Bus
services also operate daily between Christchurch and
Wanaka (approximately 6 hours travel time).

Our 2-Day trip will spend a night in the mountains either
in a snow camp or bivy, from where we can make an early
start to make the most of a second full day of climbing!
FITNESS & HEALTH
To make the most of your climbing experience, we
encourage you to work on your fitness prior to the trip.
Your guide places special focus on fitness levels and will
regulate the pace accordingly.
Our registration form requests that you declare any
medical problems you may have and any medication
you may be taking. Any information you supply will be
