DAY 1: ARRIVAL • Arrive at Jacksons International Airport, Port Moresby. • You'll be met by your Australian guide, CrossFit tragic Darren Savickas (Bring It On CrossFit, North Geelong) and be transferred to your hotel. • Pre-trek safety and information briefing. • Nutritious and hearty hotel dinner followed by final equipment check. DAY 2: Port Moresby - Ioribaiwa • Early wake up call & big buffet breakfast. • Drive to Bomana War Cemetery. Here we honour the memory of the fallen ... 3,779 graves of service personnel from a variety of Commonwealth nations. • From here, we drive up to Owers Corner where we take in the amazing view of the Owen Stanley Range. • Our first descent and then river crossing across the Goldie before we make our way toward Imita Ridge where the Australians were prepared to make their final stand against the advancing Japanese. • We descend down to a magnificent river system where we walk through a total of 22 river crossings. • We camp overnight at Ioribaiwa Village, the furthest point of the Japanese advance along the Kokoda Track.

DAY 7: Isurava - Kokoda • Today sees us head steadily downhill toward our destination of Kokoda! • We enjoy the sweeping views of the Yodda Valley from Deniki, before our last significant descent to the picturesque village of Hoi. • Our trek concludes as we take those emotional last steps beneath the famous arches! • In the afternoon we visit the Kokoda Plateau, the Bert Kienzle museum and other memorials in the area. DAY 8: Kokoda - Port Moresby • Tonight is spent in the village of Kokoda where you can spend time relaxing at our guest house and swimming in the nearby river. • Many of our porter team hail from the area so we can spend some valuable with them before our final departure later that morning. • We make our way to Popondetta along the Kokoda Highway, stopping at significant battle sites along the way, including Gorari and Awala. • Our afternoon flight takes us back to Port Moresby where we enjoy a well deserved shower and final group dinner at the hotel. DAY 9: DEPARTURE • Relaxing morning at the hotel, followed by an early afternoon flight back to Australia.
