FAMILY MISSION TRIP Picture this: hundreds of thousands of people living in townships and illegal settlements across Cape Town. School is about to finish for the term. Kids are tired and restless but parents still need to go to their jobs as factory or domestic workers or actively look for work. There is no after school care or holiday programs here. What will these kids do while their parents are away? Christmas is just around the corner – gifts are rarely the norm, just getting through the day and the week is a big enough demand. These kids get bored, they often get into trouble. Living Hope minister to these families 52 weeks a year. They have called us Aussies to come over and assist them with their planned school holiday programs in the townships. This is the ideal type of mission that you can do as a family because every member has an opportunity to serve. We need a team of vibrant and enthusiastic helpers to make this mission life changing for all. You don’t need specific skills (what skills you have we will try to put to good use) but an open heart and desire to serve and be a blessing. Living Hope has been seeking to impact South Africa’s Southern Cape Peninsula with a holistic approach to support those both affected and infected by HIV/AIDS and other chronic diseases. Born out of Fish Hoek Baptist Church in 1999 Living Hope seeks to share the hope and compassion of Jesus with the communities on an ongoing basis in word and in lifestyle. This is your opportunity to do the same. TOUR GUIDE: LISA TARZIA Lisa Tarzia (formerly Scerri) has been involved in the travel industry for over 30 years.
