THURSDAY WEEK 5 Early Years Learn at Home Learning Tasks Community Helpers: Safety Helpers Parent/Carer Guide - Learning activities 1 Safety helpers in our community like firefighters, police and paramedics work to keep us safe. These helpers are very important. 2 Read aloud Whose Hands Are These? – YouTube 3 Using the templates create your own police badge. Trace or write your name, paint or colour in your own design 4 Trace two circles onto green paper and two circles onto red paper using a bowl or round object. Or use stencils provided. Cut them out and glue or tape back to straw or popsicle stick. 5 Grab your police hat and badge, role play being a police officer. Hold up the "GO" sign, yell "GO," and run around then hold up the “STOP” sign and yell “STOP” when you want them to stop.
