AY21 PAGE 3 OUTLINE EVENTS The main events program (MEP) can be found on page 6, below are the key events for the weekend: Thu September 30 – Team members arrive in Washington, D.C. at Dulles International Airport and accommodate at Harper’s Ferry Clarion Inn. Friday, October 1 – Visit Washington DC to visit Military Women’s Memorial, Arlinton National Cemetry Virginia FBI HQ Hoover Building, White House, and lunch in Arlington VA.Collection of Appalachian Yomp REPORTING Bibs and safety brief at AFF start location and pasta dinner at Yomp village. All team members taking part in the Appalachian Sat October 2 – Begin AY21. Yomp will fly to Dulles International Airport on 30 Sun October 3 – Completion of the AY21 and September 2021 and departing flights will leave return to accommodation. PROPER PROSTHETIC - THIS IS A LONG WALKING AND CLIMBING EVENT, THROUGH GRASS/DIRT ROAD WHICH IS WET AND ON OCCASION STONY. 2. WHEELCHAIR OR CRUTCHES - TO BE ABLE TO WALK WITH SUPPORT OR IF YOU CANNOT WALK WITH A PROSTHETIC AFTER THE YOMP. 3. EXTRA SOCKS - FOR YOUR PROSTHETIC BECAUSE THEY WILL GET WET OR THE SIZE OF THE STUMP MAY CHANGE ON THE YOMP. 4. TOOLS - TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR PROSTHETIC AND ADJUST IT IF REQUIRED. 5.
