2018 Colony Board of Directors Candidates Anita Hazlewood Our family (Rob, Jacob, Annabeth and Drew) joined Colony in 2012. We started under the awning next to the baby pool and have graduated to the opposite side! It’s been so wonderful growing up with our pool families, and I look forward to serving our community by being on the board. Colony truly is a great place to belong!
Jason McMann My wife Jamie and I have been members at Colony since 2007. We now enjoy the pool with our two children, Brooke (10) and Sam (7). We have been active participants on the swim team for the previous 4 seasons. I am running for a second term on the board after serving as Secretary for the 2016 season, and Personnel Director for the past two seasons. Some of my accomplishments during this past term have included: • Re-vamping Colony’s website • Overseeing a change in Colony management • Working closely with staff to improve maintenance and customer service • Streamlined employee onboarding, training, and payroll Professionally, I hold a BA from the University of Michigan and work as Director of eCommerce Development at Domino’s Pizza, where I oversee a team of around 70 responsible for Domino’s online ordering applications. I would love the opportunity to serve another term on the Board and to continue the work from previous few years.
Claudia Muncy Hi, my name is Claudia Muncy and I am running for a position on Colony’s board. My family and I have been members of Colony since 2015, and we love that this is the place that our family can belong to every summer. Our kids, Emilia (10) and Jakob (8) love being part of the swim team and we enjoy spending time at the pool together. I would be honored to have the opportunity to serve Colony as a board member and to help continue to make Colony a fun place to spend the summer. I currently work part-time in Accounting for a local Automation Safety company. Prior to this position, I was the Financial Controller for a German Auto Supplier for over 7 years where I was responsible for all aspects of the financial systems including financial reporting, budget planning, A/P, A/R and Payroll. I have a MBA, a BS in Computer Science and a BA in Psychology. I also coached High School Girls’ Field Hockey for 8 seasons and I currently volunteer as a tutor for the Plymouth Canton Community Literacy Council. In my spare time, I enjoy soccer, reading and traveling. I would love to bring my financial and organizational skills to the Colony Board. Thank you for taking the time to read my biography and consider me for our Board.
Corrie Sterzinger My name is Corrie Sterzinger. I’m seeking your vote for the Colony Board as a long-standing member of the Club, my professional and Board experience, and to maintain the improvements to the Club we have seen in recent years. I joined Colony Swim Club in 2008. My husband, Larry, and I have two children, Katie (19) and Paul (15). Paul has been a member of the Colony swim team since 2013. As a part of the swim team, I held various volunteer positions, including Bake Sale Coordinator and timer. I graduated from the University of Michigan in 1994 with a BBA and a Master in Accounting. Over the last 24 years, I held accounting positions from CPA to accountant/bookkeeper. I retired in 2017 and am pursuing my Associate Degree in Photography from Washtenaw Community College. In January 2014, I was appointed Colony Board Treasurer and held the position until the term ended in August 2015. In the time I was treasurer, I improved our budgetary process, hired a CPA firm to handle all tax-related matters on behalf of the Club, and improved the Club’s overall accounting and reimbursement processes. Previous to this, I held two other board positions. I was treasurer for four years (two terms) on the PTO Board of my children’s elementary school and was treasurer for two years for a church preschool. My goal is to maintain the Board’s momentum in improving the Club’s operations and physical infrastructure. Beyond this, I would like to see the Board review the compensation for those who make Colony great and pursue the hiring of a year-round operations manager for the pool. Thank you for your consideration. Corrie Sterzinger
Robin Dzialo Zdrodowski My name is Robin Dzialo Zdrodowski. My husband, Tim, and my kids Luke (7) and Anna (6) and I love being members at Colony! Luke just finished his second season with the Colony swim team and Anna completed her first. The kids enjoy taking lessons all four sessions offered during the summer. Since last year, the kids haven't missed a single swim team practice, meet or swim lesson. We're some of the most frequent visitors at the pool and I can't imagine a better place to spend time with family during the summer. I've been going to Colony since about 1990. I swam on the Colony swim team growing up and throughout high school. I also worked at Colony as a lifeguard during high school and during my summer breaks from Michigan State. I am now an attorney and have worked at the same firm in Plymouth since I graduated law school in 2007. My husband, Tim, is a teacher at Plymouth High School and has worked at PCEP since 2004. We are dedicated to our community and part of that community is Colony Swim Club. I look forward to many more years as a member of Colony Swim Club and would love the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors where I can further my investment in the future of Colony!
