                                             MONDAY 18 MAY 2020
We will depart from Cambridge and travel by coach to Winchester where we will meet a resident guide for a
guided visit of Winchester Cathedral. The first church to be built on this site dates back to 648 but the present
building was begun in 1079. Originally a Benedictine monastery, the Cathedral was repeatedly modified until the
beginning of the early 16th century, and today boasts the oldest choir in England dating from 1308. We will continue
to Rick Stein, Winchester where lunch will be taken.

We will continue to Paignton, where we will check into the Redcliffe Hotel for four nights’ dinner, bed and
breakfast accommodation. Dinner will be taken in the hotel restaurant this evening.
